Ouch. Maybe Chief needs to start watching film of how Saban shuts it down.

Chief is mesmerized by Bo's natural golden locks. It's the only sensible explanation.

No they didn't. That LSU team averaged 261 yards a game in total defense and gave up 533 to WVU.

Do you not know how to ensure that your topic hasn't been recently discussed on this board?

Let's not start this argument.
Giving up 465 passing yards and 21 points isn't exactly shutting a team down. Those weren't garbage time yards or points; West Virginia was initiating a comeback. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Chavis' defense is good at forcing turnovers versus HUNH teams.

What is the precise definition of shutdown?
Yards must be taken into account, but they don't always tell the whole story.
Oregon shutout Arizona in 2012, but it's because they forced several red zone turnovers.

Sabes and Bert could learn a thing or two from Chief Chavis about how to stop the HUNH. He shut down Oregon, the Barn and JFF in recent years. So he has that going for him.

Very true. Guess that's why you don't hear the LSU folks complaining about it. They just play football.
