Not really.

Per scripture, what we bind on Earth is bound in heaven. Right now, he deserves to be bound. If he changes then consideration should be given. But this man is a false teacher (that's blasphemy by the way) and has neither repented nor asked forgiveness.

Folks cite the cast the first stone story but not only is it a late addition it also includes an admonishment to sin no more. You can't get to that point without repentance.

Prayer isn't a gift one bestows on the deserving, in my opinion.

I pray that Hugh Freeze is able to experience Gods love and mercy, none of us deserve it but it doesn't hurt to pray that we all experience it.

I meant the preacher said the temptations are greater the closer you are to God. Not becuase of making more money. I guess I must be missing something, but not sure I understand that point.

I tried to sit down today and put myself in the position of someone making millions and how hard the temptations would be.

I do ok for myself and I've never been tempted so that don't wash with me. There is a lot of stuff I could do but simply don't. This excuse crap has gotten damn old.

Also frick Freeze. If you believe in prayer then pray for someone dying of cancer or the starving children of a third world nation. Why waste your breath praying for a rich white guy who's biggest problem in life is a weak moral compass.

Truth. Besides that this call is going out solely because he's famous.

That's fair enough but as per James I believe that "Grace without works is dead." Freeze has shown no remorse, no contrition.

They are only greater because the resistance AGAINST those temptations are greater.....if a man is closer to God, then he is further away from being deceived by those temptations, because he is confident and powerful within the grace of God.

Only the lost souls are overtaken by the temptations: they are truly at a great distance from God, no matter what they try to tell others....

THIS ^^ is the truth. If you buy this sort of stuff at all, that is.

My thoughts are with Hugh's family, but I couldn't give two shits about the lip service Hugh and his preacher buddies try to tell us about his frickin' struggles.

Also, I keep hearing people talk about herpes today. Well, herpes ain't so bad. Just think of it this way...You can only catch it once.

Great post Louisville.

If or when I pray for a total stranger, it's someone sick or someone who has experienced a tragedy in life. I'm not wasting God's time praying for a grown man that has pulled in millions upon millions over the years, who wore his faith like a Badge for everyone to see and can't find the intestinal fortitude to up hold the basic moral principals of decency.

Don't stand up on your pulpit preaching the love of God and quote scripture out one side of your mouth and then in your free time, talk dirty with whore out of the other side. And then have the nerve to ask for prayers and forgiveness only days after you got caught red-handed.

I feel sorry for his daughters and the stigma they will have to face. Shame on Hugh for putting his kids in such a position.

I find it hard to believe CHF ever prayed himself.
In the words of Huck Finn: "You can't pray a lie."

I guess you don't need to pray when you're "as close to God" as Freezus is.

I'm keeping Freeze and family in my prayers...as a true believer I'm not called to withhold prayer or cast judgement. Jesus himself was tempted by the devil (Matthew 4:1-11), so we all can expect to be tempted no matter where we are in our faith. The devil is crafty, he knows the Bible backwards and forwards (see above scripture for proof). He used the scripture to try to lead Jesus to disobedience, and does the same to us. I haven't read Freeze's tweets or anything and I don't know where he is with his faith, but I do know God's grace and mercy is extended to everyone who has repented and has received him as their Lord and Savior.

Religion is dumb.

Where did God come from? Who or how did he get made?

So wouldn't the smart thing be to not be close to god? I mean, if the closer you are to him, the harder it is to resist temptation, that would lend one to conclude that people who are not close to him actually lead better lives.
