this would be a fricking train wreck. an early signing period with the ability for the kid to be released from the LOI if there is a coaching change is the only way to go.

Just don't buy the truck until you get their signature on the LOI. Do you pay a contractor in advance of completing the job?

Eh. I disagree with him. A lot of kids go to programs where they feel comfortable with the coaching staff that's there. Not necessarily because the school is great. Kids should be given a chance to back out if a coach is fired or goes to another program.

i also think that an 18 year is extremely impressionable and he could end up making an uninformed decision based on a good time he has one weekend. i think it would be a very slippery slope for the kids' sakes

Agree. Not a good idea.

"Hugh Freeze said new Mizzou DC Barry Odom and TCUs Gary Patterson playcallers he respects most. Instincts for right calls at right time."

Perfect Storm brewing in COMO, for first time I'm feeling good about chances of a 3-peat.

So if a player commits his junior year and the coach is fired his senior he should have to honor it?

Yup. Might encourage to wait a bit longer and make a good decision the first time. Also, teaches a bit a personal responsibility.

What would happen to all the drama of signing day if they did away with it? The hotshot 5*'s and their entire families wouldn't get their moment in the media spotlight. What would ESPN do?

I completely agree with him, getting Barry Odom back at DC is probably the best hire since Kuligowski..

This could easily be the best team Mizzou has fielded in the SEC..

I'm on onboard the bandwagon.
