Alabama/Auburn/LSU in the West vs. Florida/Tennessee/Georgia in the East is perfect balance. aTm raising to be a power could throw that off but at least South Carolina balances them out to an extent in the East. Tennessee will be back at some point and everything will be normal again. I don't want anything to change and neither should any sensible SEC fan. Sorry for the crybabies in the LSU fanbase.

Pods could preserve traditional rivalries and also ensure that the entire conference plays each other within at least a 3 year period.

Interesting question. How about (division A on left, B on right):

Alabama - Florida
LSU - UGA
Auburn - Tennessee
Texas A&M - USC
MSU - Ole Miss
Arkansas - Missouri
Vanderbilt - Kentucky
