re: How would you rate Hugh Freeze as a QB developer?

This is our "one chance" for the time being with our stars likely being gone after this year.
He knows we need a good QB to have a chance at the SEC Championship (lol I know). I don't think he's going to let any options go un-considered.

That was NOT the quarterback's fault, Buddy!
It was the lack of an offensive line and loss of the best player.
BUT GEE GOLLY, we won a bunch of games and Bo led us all the way! And freeze was his coach. HMMMMMMMM? the theory of a poor quarterback developer lacks substance and falls on deaf ears!

AGAIN Bo Wallace. I loved him as a Reb and we won games because of him but overall he isn't much for Freeze to work with.
To be fair, he looked really promising when he got there and he may have actually gotten worse over the course of 3 years.

Wallace was worse his senior season but I wouldn't want to judge Freeze on Wallace. I'd give him a few more QB's to work with first.

I wouldn't say that's true. He through for less interceptions in 2013 than 14, but overall I do think he improved. And 2012 was by far his worst season.

That wasn't on Freeze.
Putting the ball in the hands of your rattled QB, who was bickering with the fans and sucking all night, in that situation was absolutely, unequivocally on Freeze.

Which is why he told him exactly what to do. You see how that all works out? Again, Bo made a terrible decision that directly went against Freeze's coaching.

Everybody in the stadium knew Bo was going to make a terrible decision except Freeze - he had been awful all night.
Just because your coach threw Bo directly under the bus after the game doesn't mean you have to buy everything he is selling. It's on him, too.

The play from Freeze went as follows...
-Treadwell runs a stop route ~7 yards next to the sidelines.
-If not open...throw it way OOB.
He did Option C...which was bomb it to the endzone to a guy that was supposed to be nothing more than a decoy to get Treadwell open.

Quarterback went rouge. Deserves to be thrown under the bus. Just like he also deserves all the praise after leading us to the GW drive two years ago against LSU.
That comes with the territory.

Bo's progression and career can be summed up in one phrase: Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

a bunch of games won and yet 30-0
sounds like you're making a bunch of excuses for your head coach tbh

Bo made a bad decision given circumstances. Bo made a decent read as Core was open in the EZ. Bo easily made one of the worst throws of his career though and the pass was picked off at the 10 instead of the endzone. The thing that limited Bo his senior year is the same thing that limited him his entire career: He just didn't have great physical tools. He had an okay arm but not good enough to take the chances he tried to take. That's why Hugh spent his entire career teaching Bo to take what he can get, because his arm wasn't good enough to take what he wanted.
Same problem popped up in the Arky game. Not enough zip to get the ball into the end zone on time.
