Freeze is done, not just at ole miss, but NCAA.
Saban will retire.
Gus Bus laid to rest and becomes shelter for homeless hippies.
Cool breeze Sumlin sent to gin bar for good.
Corch Boom spontaneously combusts about 5th or 6th loss.

Looking at the rest of his post, I was waiting for, "Miles dies from grass poisoning, after keeping the undefeated season alive, against #1 Bama."

depends on if we beat A&M or not. Apparently that is what our administration bases the decision on according to A&M fans.

They are so proud to feel relevant they post pictures of our fans holding up Les after his 5th straight W against them thinking they are making fun of us

Derek Mason

Yeah...no. Extremely unlikely. He's shown improvement on the field, if not in the W/L column, and Vanderbilt doesn't even remotely have the "succeed now or die" mentality that you find at the major football powers in the conference. He's shown that he's willing to build the program and has a clear plan for doing so, assuming he ever learns to coach quarterbacks properly. He essentially has the same confidence and chance to build from scratch that Bielema was given at Arkansas.

Barring a major scandal, the administration will likely be sticking with Mason at least a couple more years, if not longer. The fact that he's from another academically-prestigious school in Stanford helps quite a bit too.

I would take the under , I don't see any for sure opening coming up this year. A lot of coaches could be fired but none of them need to do anything crazy to keep their job.

Under. Gus is safe because he just got that extension.

Under, 1 tops, maybe 2.

If there are 3, something major is going to happen at a few schools

I think Sumlin stays. I see them winning 9 or 10 games this year

Under. Stoops won't be going to a bowl and has failed to do anything while the East was down. He may even lose to Southern Miss. He's almost a certainty to be in his last season.

Malzahn & Sumlin both have to win at least 8 to keep their jobs, and while I don't think both of them will do that, one of them will and stave off unemployment for one more season.
