Boy, I hate Bama fans...

For the most part, I love Bama fans. I've tons of Bama fans that I hang around and watch football with. Although they're very classy and they know what to say and the right time to say things. They know the difference in confidence and arrogance...

Saban just won with Shula's players.

You are right Doc. Except for players like Ingram and Richardson. The scary thing is when Saban gets his players in they will be even better. The longer he is there the more discipline he will have his program. It's nice to have a coach who runs a program with discipline running through it. Consistency because of this.

Yeah, and I was making that post in jest, but seriously, he may be in for a rough transition next year. It's not going to be easy to replace all 3 D-linemen, 2 LBs (3 if McClain goes to the draft), a CB, and a S from the starting '09 defense.

The offense should be killer, though, so maybe it will balance out.

Hell, why even play the games? Let's just give the SECCs and NCs to them now.

Sounds good. Stop on by Walmart same time next year and you can see the trophy.

Heard Walmart was a ripe recruiting ground.

It is just SO fitting to me that the MNC trophy won by bama should be hosted by WAL-MART.

I'm not as worried about the DL and LB as I am about the secondary. If Jackson leaves, that's a huge turnover. 2 CB's and a safety is a lot.

I think we'll be a little easier to run on without Cody but it's fortunate that Chapman has been really good for us and Dareus is going to kill people next year. Dareus was the scariest DE on our team this year. Luther Davis has gotten plenty of snaps as well. The starters will be ok but the depth issue will be interesting to see.

I think the LB's really depend on whether Hightower comes back healthy. If he's back then we'll look pretty good. If he's not, then it will make the loss of Rolo even more glaring. We've got a lot of talent there but it's mostly unproven. Hightower, Nico, Harris, and Upshaw doesn't sound too bad though.

Overall I'm glad that some of our guys got quality snaps this year so they're not a complete unknown quantity. Guys like Chapman, Dareus, Upshaw, Green, etc. all got enough to show if they can compete.

I am definitely scared of how good Bama will be in years after 2010.

We'll be breaking in a new QB in '11 but the thing I like about our style is that we can win with a very conservative style and help a young QB out. If we end up with a stud at the position, then we'll be great. If we end up with less than that, then we can still grind out games with defense and the running game.

I think we're going to have some good years but with the improved talent, we'll have far more 3 year players. Dareus, Ingram, Julio, and a few more could all leave after next year. It's nice having the increased recruiting but you always have to worry about those years when you lose aall your seniors plus a ton of true or redshirt juniors.

1 this is not the era as the Bear coached in. No team will dominate as you suggest

Relax and enjoy this one

Might as well say next 7 years, that's when Saban probably retires.
65 and his contract extension expires.

i (unrealistically) say 4 and 2.

you Bammers are unbelievable....what team the last 2 years has come very close to beating you both times...LSU. Oh, and were going to be better next year than we were in the previous 2 years, and we play you at home. Keep this arrogance up, it will be all the more fun to rammer jammer and taunt your fans idiotic enough to make the trip to Baton Rouge next year.
