I think the only way to win a NC these days is to be in trouble with the NCAA in some way.
Look at the past several years. How many "clean" programs have won a NC?

I am more excited on the defensive side. I am hoping for a better coached, hard hitting defense that doesn't consistently give up 3rd and long. Honestly, I am nervous about what direction Chizik goes on offense.
