Those are some pathetic claims. There's 4 seasons on there with 2 losses. 8 seasons where only one obscure poll naming Bama Champs.
There were other season I could have listed for Auburn that I left off because I didn't feel there was a strong enought claim. At least I tried to be objective

The most amazing thing about the 15 national championships the gumps claim is that almost half of them were won in the span of one afternoon back in the early 1980's. Most amazing accomplishment in the history of college football

I actually claim 10 national championships for us though. 1988 we were robbed in the sugar bowl and FSU was clearly the second best team in the country, behind us.

We technically have a claim to 1910 too but I didn't think 6-1 was a strong enough argument.

What? I know he is an Arkansas fan, that is why we were being civil and both ridiculing the pathetic team you support.
As for the 1913 season, if you weren't the typical auNeck and knew anything about the school or team you support, you would know that only Harvard and Chicago officially claim the '13 season for a NC.
The Alabama Polytechnic Institute Plainsmen on this board are not impressing me with their football knowledge. I'm not surprised.
