8-9 wins with that schedule and the Vols can make a strong case they've turned the corner. Knocking off one of their arch-rivals like Bama or Georgia would be a big step forward as well.

They've got a tough schedule to deal with, so I think 7-5 realistically is a good season if they finish looking really good.
8-4 would be indicative of the hype being realized around Jones and the program.

Damn, you've given the only two UT trolls on this board some real satisfaction after reading that.
Blame the fans? UT has been hyped up by every major player in the sports industry. The fans aren't publishing these articles and half of us don't even believe them to be true regardless. ESPN, CFB Matrix, Fox Sports, Lindy's, CBS, SDS, Athlons, etc. and two known UT trolls have been the ones hyping UT.
Don't get that misconstrued with the thoughts of the entire fan base. The whole, "The 1% talk the loudest" approach is being taken by 2 posters on this site. Not the fan base. Just so we're clear.

Of don those publications are fowarding those articles over here. That's right your fellow fans are posting them as proof that Yall are real contenders this year. Yes it is apparent that 2 fans are doing the most trolling. But saying that most Tennessee would say 8 wins is the expectation is not true for this site. I have seen several times that 8 wins is the bare minimal and 9 is most likely. Anyway i would love for Tennessee to be back it would balance the schedules again. Bama I'm looking at you ha.

3-4 or 4-3 coming outta the Bama game, 4-1 in final 5, so 7-5 or 8-4 reg. season with a chance to make it 8-5 or 9-4 with a bowl win. Depending on which teams the wins & losses are to, I think most UT fans would be O.K. with 8-5 or 9-4...

I see 8-4 being very possible but six of those games are embarrassingly easy. They get smoked in at least two of the other four though.
