Shouldn't LSU and all of their 5-stars at least covered the spread vs us last year in BR?

I think they win 9 games. 10 tops.
They have talent and creative, inventive coach. Ole Miss fans should be happier now than they have been in many years. The future is bright.

when we can put 13 JRs in the NFL and recruit like we do, losing guys doesn't bother us as much as other teams.
Most LSU fans in this thread are saying they will be better next year though. I just find that hard to believe, but what do I know.

memphis and I broke it down in this thread, it was a quick summary of the postions. please tell me at what positions we will be worse than last year.

Haven't read the whole thread but if true, probably due to the optimism of the new OC hire I'd imagine.

You should be. Do you honestly believe that Reid and Simon's backups are better? Then it's Chavis' fault for not recognizing it.
It's not about being better, it's about giving 3 shits more than Reid and Simon the past year. Both read too many newspaper clippings. Simon and Reid both admit to taking games off to stay healthy for the NFL.

LSU has a Kordell Stewart thing going on with odd years. That just happens to be the rhythm of the program at this point.

and reid was injured last year to boot. it was obvious something was wrong when he got run over twice vs North Texas and his play was inconsistent all year. last year was the worse safety play LSU has had since the Mallory Peveto experiment.
we have a team of hungry players this season who aret established guys just biding time for a paycheck. not to mention a real OC which will improve the offense, defense, and attitude of the entire team.

Ole Miss with shitty talent - 35 points
LSU with first round draft picks, 5-stars that don't even play - 41 points
Game at LSU
Yup, definitely can't project a Ole Miss win next year and/or say Ole Miss currently may have better in-game coaching, that's crazy talk

The reports I've read from guys who have seen practice is that the whole attitude is different. Lot of shucking and jiving last year, much more serious and focused this year so far. That's a good sign.

This is what is so funny. If you go back just one year and try to project what ultimately happened in last year's game, what would you come up with? LSU 52 Miss 3. Game in Oxford. LSU should score 104 at home, right? I'm glad you're optimistic, but if LSU blasts Ole Miss, it won't surprise this guy.

Completely different team and coaching-staff.
Does LSU have better players and a better program? Sure.
But upsets happen and I picked it - nothing against LSU/Miles or anyone... it just is what it is.
Based on what happened last year, it's not crazy to believe it could happen. That's all.
