7. like always, start 2-5 and want him gone then the hit the back stretch of cupcakes and finish 5-0 and proceed to beat Purdue in the Gator bowl and talk about National championship for 2017.

What about Va.Tech. in Bristol? That game will be a challenge and the Vols can't take them for granted.
Remember the bad ol' days. Dooley could have lost games to the Ohio Bobcats and Appalachian state.

Yeah he could have. But what happened from 2010-12 under that failed abortion has very little to do with Butch's 2016 team. One way I know at least some progress has been made is that no UT fan ever worries about games like that anymore.
And VT was a 6-6 ACC team last year and has a coaching transition to make. They just don't match up this year in terms of talent or experience in comparison to UT's roster. It may or may not be a battle, but UT's chances of losing are slim to none.

I have no idea what it will take for them to fire him, but I think if he doesn't win at least one of Florida, Georgia and Alabama (and it would really help if Florida or Alabama is the one) and win all of the others, he's not the guy to bring them titles. 10-2 should be the minimum expectation. On paper, they should be favored in every game except Alabama, but they always seem to find a way to shite the bed against Florida, so I have a hard time thinking of them as the favorite in that one.
