If it wasn't for Saban, Drew Brees wouldn't have ended up in New Orleans. So between that and 2003, I'm good with him.

2011 for sure. That's it though. It's not like they've been a juggernaut every year with losses to ole miss and arkie as well as Bama.

Even 2007, Meh, that has to be the worst champion maybe of any team in any sport. I watched the Kentucky game earlier and LSU wasn't even good. Even our sorry arse 07 team outplayed them. The BCS should have shite canned the 07 title and gave out 2 in 08. nobody in 07 looked like a champion quite frankly.

Right...because teams that lose games in OT shouldn't be allowed to play for a championship. Oh, wait...

False

Saban was pissed when doctors wouldn't clear Brees, and not allow him to sign

Teams like Florida and LSU are strong national powers but they are no Alabama. Saban could have only done what he has done at a school like Alabama. The tradition is there, the brand is there, and the mystique is there. All the other schools within the SEC, LSU included, do not have the same allure that Alabama does.

What is Alabama without Saban (now not in a historic way)? Please inform us of this great coach that's out there that was going to come in and save your program. Saban was the right coach at the right time. He would have been just as successful at State as he was at LSU and Bamma. The man can build any program. And just like when he came to LSU he saw an opportunity at Bamma to build a program his way.

This is what you Bammer folks do not get. Saban was not the coach he is now at LSU. Who knows without him leaving if he becomes what he is now.

The other thing no fan base considers is that in 2005 Katrina might have literally killed Nick Saban. Helicopters and a morgue using football facilities? His head would have exploded dealing with what Les got this program through. 99.9% of people have no idea the situation in the moment

LOLOLOLOL

Hate to break it to ya sport, but Alabama is only what they are today because of Saban. Saban is the GOAT college football coach and could've gone almost anywhere and created a dynasty.
Alabama is just a framework for Saban's craft... the success Saban has had at Alabama has literally nothing to do with Alabama and everything to do with Saban being Saban.

I think possibly LSU could have went back to back in 2011 and 2012. People forget that LSU was a last minute Bama drive and Yeldon (so glad that guy is in the NFL now) screen pass from playing Georgia is the SEC championship game for the right to beat Notre Dame.

How butthurt are you on a scale of 1-Richard Simmons?

Just calling a spade a spade here, Saban does not need Alabama to be successful, but Alabama definitely needs Saban to be successful. Fact.
