Personally I think at least 3 if Saban had stayed in the NFL. I really do feel for LSU. LSU has their greatest coach, had some great teams last 15-16 years, but Its tough knowing the two best teams many years would be in the same conference, and same division. I think if LSU and Bama were in different conferences, LSU would have definitely made it to the big one many other times and could have won even against Bama. I feel bad for Miles too. Seems like such a good guy. Great Coach, better person. Saban has changed Miles though, he used to be a much better Coach than now. He's lost that Something, I can't put my finger on it but it hasn't felt the same as pre-12. Your play calling has been shite though, like your coaches say in meetings:

"what do they do best?", "stop the run." "Okay, we'll show them, let's run it 50 times then." "Sir you are a genius!"

Obscene play calling. I have never disliked LSU and I generally root for them unless there's a benefit to Bama. You guys have a team that can win it all this year so I'm eager to see what Coach Miles is Gonna do with this team.

2 more. 2011,2012. But also got to think of recruits LSU and Bama battle for. Not saying that bama wouldnt recruit well, but you could argue Les is the 2nd best recruiter in the sec as well. So if he had gotten some of the ones that went to bama we really wanted, sure he could have more.

Maybe 2 counting the one they did win with Les. Meyer may have had 5 if Saban stayed in the NFL . Meyer seem to be the one that got hurt the most from Saban coming to the SEC.

I would honestly say a total of 5. Maybe 6.

Louisiana has better high school talent than the state of Alabama. And LSU has it all to themselves. It is easier to win at LSU than Bama in my opinion.

Yes, I think Saban is a better coach than Les by a wide margin.

None... There will never be another 2 loss National Champion... Miles loses 2+ games every year regardless of talent. Only exception is '11 and his talent got him that far. He drew a bad card when Bama got a mulligan without even winning their conference or division... Miles has learned on this job. And he won in '07 with Sabans recruits and Matt Flynn in spite of 2 losses...

Louisiana has huge high school talent. I'm pretty sure any decent high school coach could do as well as Les or better. LSU would have either won or contended for NC every year with Saban - no doubt.

Probably only one or two.

LSU, while a solid program, just doesn't have what it takes to stay among the elite of the elite. Take Florida for example. Florida was the best team in the SEC during the 1990s - yet managed only one national championship during their historic run under Steve Spurrier (made possible by a mulligan).

Teams like Florida and LSU are strong national powers but they are no Alabama. Saban could have only done what he has done at a school like Alabama. The tradition is there, the brand is there, and the mystique is there. All the other schools within the SEC, LSU included, do not have the same allure that Alabama does.

At most...Saban wins 2 national championships with LSU.

2011 is the only one I can think of. And they may still have lost to Ok St if Jefferson played that poorly. The other years LSU had more problems than just Bama.

you might want to reread the original post. The topic isn't saban staying at LSU.

All must bow to the mighty tide.
