Serious question.

Hard to judge your loyalty based off ur success I guess. Bama fans were Quiet last year for the most part.

But if I had to guess a number I would bet about 50 percent on here are bandwagons.

A frick ton. But wouldnt be surprised if OSU had more.

But why do people act like Alabama didnt put 90k people into Bryant Denny throughout the Shula years?

Alabama is definitely known for having fairweather fans who don't care that much about college football.

Meh. Happens with all the great dynasties. How many Bulls fans nationwide stopped being Bulls fans when Jordan stopped playing?

When you're the defacto "GOAT!" People will just naturally migrate towards you. I'm sure most on here wouldn't understand that being you'd have to be a Bammer to reach such lofty air!

LSU fans aren't taking 55-17 well. Never seen them like this.

Probably a lot. There were also a lot of loud, obnoxious bammers claiming we were back over and over back when we were terrible. We filled our stadium. We traveled to road games.

So, whatever. Unlike some others our fanbase has been obnoxious and devoted through thick and thin. Probably added to that already large base when we started winning again, but it was huge to begin with and huge from 1997-2007, too. And when we inevitably drop off a little again we'll still be huge and loud and obnoxious.

Not even talking about LSU. But yet you still bring them up in the discussion that was directed to Bama fans.

Bama T-shirt fans divided by bandwagon fans equals the actual number of national championship teams the university of Alabama has fielded.

I love when an LSU fan repping an Ohio State logo questions whether other fans are bandwagon fans.

Do you mean bandwagon in the true sense of the word meaning they cared nothing about the team prior to 2009 championship, or do you mean bandwagon the way someone living in the south claims to be a Lakers fan b/c they just chose that team, or someone in south claims to be a Yankees fan bc their dad or grandfather were Yankees fans?

Those are different answers. Probably about 15% would be due to recent success, another 10% or so would be people who picked them up due to always being on TV years ago and they just picked a team. The other 75% are a mix of "born into it", grads, etc.

Is it really still a bandwagon when it's been running for 10+ years straight?

OSU and Bama fans deserve each other. Both from trash arse states and full of trash fans who never sniffed the university.
