Doubt it and hope not. I honestly think the supposed Mizzou B1G "obsession" is really overplayed on the Rant. I know for a fact that there were multiple million dollar donations to the athletic department that were stipulated on the fact that we were going to the SEC. Hopefully these bros have enough pull in the AD to never let us go to the Big Rusty.

All I have to say is this:
You're not gonna ever be fully accepted as a member until y'all up and move y'all's campus south of I-44.
Case in point: USC has generally been accepted with open arms, but we're still having to get used to UPig. And they're as Southern as the rest of us.

We receive these for acting with moral decency in the SEC...The donations you receive from switching to the SEC should be buying people buildings....not flaming just pointing out how shite is done in the SEC.

I don't know exactly what this means but I'll throw out a little rumor that Kroenke (Married one of the Walmart heirs) offered up in the $100 mil range. That sounds like it could "buy a building" if that's what you were saying

Who's saying that's not exactly what happened with DGB

Because if it came down to a bidding war we would've had it in the bag

Petrino was kind of a cheap skate when it came to paying players.

It was all going somewhere else

He couldn't afford to. He was too busy paying hot blondes to give him reach arounds on his Harley.

Haha nice, but how exactly do we know that. The last bidding war y'all got in with was with Mississippi State...we have a little bigger checkbook than them.

Mississippi state just floated that rumor to drive the price of players way up. It's part of their plan to bankrupt everyone elses boosters.

UF sponsored FSU's application for decades before we decided to let them in. Bowden proceeds to decide he doesn't want to play Alabama and Auburn every year, and they go off to the ACC. ETA: And you can thank him for that, because that's what got y'all in in the first place. :truestory:
UF and FSU should actively want FSU and CU in, because it keeps them from cakewalking into BCS (or whatever it will be now) games and using it as a recruiting advantage.
"Would you rather win 8-9 games a year under Muschamp at UF or come here, to Tallahasee, and compete for championships?"
Not sure how the fraction would change with 2 new schools though. This also could have been complete bullshite that someone spewed on here or another forum.

Those sandbaggin sons of bitches. Speculating is absolutely ruining the payment of players in the SEC...

That was a rumor the Conference Expansion Board shot down pretty early.
ETA: Because say what you want about John Pennington (who may or may not be a giant toolbag), but he's got connections.
