They'll lose a bunch this year, so next year will have some growing pains, but the cupboard is stocked, so if O hires a good staff and they develop them they'll be relevant again next season.

By the very nature of this post, I'm pretty sure relevant isn't the term you're looking for, skip.
Competing for titles? Who the frick knows... how old is Saban?

15-20 years. I'm afraid it is starting to look like getting rid of Miles was a lot like UT getting rid of Fulmer. Just hired a third tier assistant as head coach that has never been anything but average as a coach. This could be very bad for them.

Offensive coordinator will be the big hire, if he tanks on that LSU will be down for several years.

All I know is, the Iron Bowl will decide the West for the unforeseeable future. Because LSU committed suicide.

They claim they have so much money and are a top 3 program

Cant even afford to pay a coach top 20 money

If you think it is bad now, wait until 2040.

Nicolas Saban and Amanda Belichick's secret love child will be 27 y/o and ready to wreck the college football world.

Talent always skips a generation, Bill Saban is bringing the pain to the SEC in less than 3 short decades. It will be incredible.

He may simultaneously coach Bama and a pro team to be named later.

Hide your kids...

I just hope and pray every night that the Messiah would not want to follow in ole grandaddy's footsteps. If not LSU just pick a fricking east team, for the love of Saban

I'm preparing for the worst, hoping for the best. Maybe an expectations reset was what we needed at LSU, and we've certainly gotten that along with a swift kick in the nuts and massive blow to our pride

that said, it could be argued that by merely making a thread like this confirms LSU's continued relevance.

of course if this conference continues like it was this year, it's really not that difficult to stay in the Top3 of the league.

I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it isn't like a guy can't come in and make a splash in year 1 if the personnel is right. See Gus in 2013.
