It's 100% a rule. You are not allowed to something that isn't your school or sanctioned. It was a huge mess when Vandy did it in the season opener in 2014.

That's not a rule
I've seen Maryland and the service academies put "courage" and "honor" on the back of jerseys
Because that was before they added the rule to where unless you're one of the military schools you can only put names on the back.

Ncaa probably doesn't give two shits about what Mizzou puts on there uniforms til someone makes a stink about it.
And then draws a shite-stika on the wall with it...

Yup 2014 was the year they actually added the name on back rule (or whatever the hell they call it).

The service academies are exempt from the rule.

They attempted to sew Louisiana State Agriculture and Mechanical University on jersey's but they didn't have enough money in the budget for thread.

It's probably easier for their players to spell.

Has LSU put Louisiana State on any jersey since since the 80's?

What?
How does Mississippi use "Ole Miss" on their uniforms?
You shut your dirty whorish mouth. This isn't about us. This is about you. Death penalty incoming. Unless you guys shut down on your own due to lack of incoming students and tuition payments. Sucks man. I'm sorry. Not sorry.

Still trying to figure out what ridiculous way tLibtards can find to read a racial connotation into the word "Mizzou" or some other aspect of their jersey.

It's because the UL part stands for the University of Louisiana. Why is this so confusing for you?
It isn't. They're just ultra sensitive and insecure.

Sounds like a NCAA death penalty incoming

You can put school nicknames and mascots.
The NCAA nixed a Baylor "Bear Down" uni.

First of all does it really bother you ?
But secondly I would think it's allowed , because it's not a slogan it's the official nickname of the university, it's been around since at least 1905 ( quick google search ).
And I would also assume it's an official logo , just like UGAs G, Alabamas A, Miamis U, etc etc. Its not the same as putting Anchor Down, Roll Tide, or GATA (Georgia thing)

Slogans may be a problem, but not whatever the AD calls sports teams.
