You'd probably be surprised then by how many of these football players are 19 when they start their Freshmen year in college.
This was the point of the origination of the thread. He wanted someone to point out how old Fournette was. Well done OP.
ETA - 1/18/1995 is his date of birth. He just turned 20. He wasn't 18 in 10th grade.
So he's really just a year older than normal which given that some parents choose to hold their kids back a grade in elementary school and/or start them a year late that's not too bad. Starting a year later or getting held back a year is still somewhat of an advantage but not nearly the advantage of him having a full 2-3 years on his peers and probably not enough to matter after this season starts.
I know it got popular for a while to hold boys back from starting kindergarten in order to give them a size advantage/athletic advantage (before parents were most likely to delay starting school if a kid was too small or they didn't feel he/she was ready) but I've also read that since recruiters and certain sports have grown to discourage the practice and even penalize it in their projections of an athlete's development that it may be going back to normal levels.

Classic deflection.
An ole miss fan brought up chubb in a thread that has nothing to do with chubb.
I said I agreed with the ole miss fan.
An LSU fan acted as if the world's funniest joke was just told.
I presented facts to support my claim.
And now another LSU fan says UGA is worried.
Classic LSU.

A guy I went to High School with was completely bald by his senior year, but he was a 6'6" lefty pitcher who got a half a million signing bonus so it was hard to feel too bad for him.

Exactly.

Anyone who understands basic math can easily see that Chubb >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fournette

You ole miss fans are way too concerned about fournette.

Classic UGA to say Classic LSU. BOOM.
Not srs.
Why can't they both be considered really good running backs? Statisically, Chubb had a better season. Numbers don't lie. He's fantastic. But were all things equal? No. Did you see LSU's passing "threat"? Fournette ran against 8 man fronts that KNEW it was going to him. I'd be happy with either RB for sure.

I'm just here speaking the truth that LSU has an inferior RB?

rushing Yards, YPC, rushing TDs, receptions, receiving yards, receiving TDs, and total touchdowns are all in favor of chubb. Some by a wide margin.
Chubb you ain't gonna get no better going thru his first off-season of team workouts, hell he just turned 19, he'll prolly gonna regress per Tigerdoppings...
You've reached your plateau, you won't continue to get stronger & better like LF, you might as well give up... It's all about what you gonna do...

The Chubb vs LF threads really make me miss BamaDoc. Whatever happened to him?

should a bama fan really be starting this, considering Henry's hairline is trying its best to run away from that grill?

Georgia fans are just happy that Chubb's name gets to be in the same sentence as LF. That's why they constantly argue if he's better or not. I personally do not care what RB is better..everyone already knows LSU as a team is better, even with mediocre QB play.

Yeah, LSU fans shouldn't be able to post in a thread about Leonard Fournette. At least allow us to post between the hours of 10-7.
