I've been waiting for this dude to wreck havoc in the SEC but he always seems to have lingering injuries. Is he 100%? He's gotta be a first round pick if he stays healthy all year, correct?

Tunsil said he was the best DE he faced last year

Hopefully he can be healthy >2games this year

He excelled under Ellis Johnson, that should tell you all you need to know.

Definitely a lot of talent on the Auburn DL this year. Probably the most since Tubbs was around. But a lot of those guys haven't proven shite yet. It will definitely be something to keep an eye on this season. If Auburn has a prayer of making a good bowl game or of Gus keeping his job, they are gonna have to have a great season from their DL. Those guys are gonna have to play like Bama's line last year because the level of talent on the DL dwarfs the talent at any other position group.

I listened to a podcast today from AuburnSports, with Jay Tate and Bryan Matthews. So far, the Auburn defensive line has been completely dominant in camp, and it's by far Auburn's best positional unit.

TIFWIW, that's what they said.

Whether or not it translates to the field is yet to be seen, but IMO, it's the best I've ever seen on paper with Auburn.

Were you around in 2004?

Lots of names on our 2016 defensive line but not a lot of proven talent especially considering the let down of last season.

Not this year. They have Kevin Steele, which is worse than being injured
Holy shite.

Might be the best "funny because it's true" post I've ever read on the SECr.

Yes, I was. Younger, but I was around.

Bret Eddins
Jay Ratliff
Josh Thompson
Marquis Gunn
Pat Sims
Quentin Groves
Stanley McClover
Tez Doolittle

Lots of talent there, too. Unsure of star power associated with that unit.

He definitely has 1st-round talent, but would a GM be willing to risk a 1st round pick (and associated money) on him given his injury history?

Didn't the Rams do this with Gurley?

You are welcome TurdTongue. Gurley was an anaomaly. Lawson is hurt more than he's not. And what does BoScar have to do with this? Who said he's going first round? Not me.

I'll bookmark this for when Lawson goes quickly in the first round and bump it for you.
