I wouldn't necessarily use size as a reason LSU will struggle to stop the run. For comparison (and I realize there are other variables), in 2011 LSU held a very good Alabama running game and with a very good offensive line to 96 yards rushing. LSU started 235 pound Mingo and 240 pound Montgomery at defensive end. Michael Brockers and Bennie Logan were the starting DTs, and they weighed 305 and 285 respectively.

I mean if I was going to attack LSU, I would start at the smaller DEs you have. That is who I would run at first, and see the reaction. I'm not saying it will work great, but that is absolutely where I would start. It isn't like you have 2 guys who are 265 at the DE spot like some other teams.

That is part of LSU's makeup to have smaller faster guys at DE who can get to the passer

Someone on here can football, that's exactly where they should start. Undersized DE giving your QB issues, run right at him.

LSU's giving up on average over 3 tds per game. If scrub arse schools can score 3 tds on that defense then Bama won't have a problem.

Much of that is coming late in the game when the scores don't have an impact on the final outcome.

It's not shady. He was responding to the comment that Georgia wasn't a quality win, which, at the time, it was with Chubb be shut down the way he was. He was mearly making a comparison as to how much of a quality win LSU would be if you were to also lose your best guy and get beat the next week. Lighten up, Francis and blow the gumbo out of your ears.

Well he did it to GA's best line backer that out weighs adams by at least 30 pounds and now I think that guy is out for the year with some dislocated shite so don't act like it's all impossible and shite to win a one on one battle with Adams.

LSU has the better QB and the much better OL.
You do understand that your OL has to compete against Bama's DL, right? The QB will be playing the best defense he's ever faced in a very hostile environment. Your unit mirror comparisons are useless.

I agree somewhat but LSU has not faced a really good running team to determine how good their run defense is. Regardless of success Bama has to continue to run the ball and allow the lack of depth on the defensive line to show up in the fourth quarter.

Smartest post and gameplan I have seen. Our defense is good but we are thin. Alabama cannot get away from running the ball in the first half regardless of success. If you guys go to letting coker through it 40 times, I think this is a long night for the bama faithful

Offensively, whether anyone wants to admit it or not these two teams are almost identical.

You've got to be kidding.

LSU is 6th in the country in offensive yards per play and Bama is 52nd. this is a fact
LSU is 12th in the country in offensive points per game and Bama is in the 40's. this is a fact

All that while LSU has played the best defense of any team(UF).
Lsu will be the best offense bama has played all year.

Points given up per game is a horrible stat to use to evaluate how good a defense is. You realize there are other ways to score in a football game right??

This can't be said enough. Bama goes over 25 easily Saturday.

Showing your football ignorance again. Lsu is 6th in the country in offensive yards per play. By far the best in the sec.

I'm just glad that LSU has the better oline and qb in this game. Usually that's gone to bama and they have won.
