Agree. Interested to see what the rain does in this one.

saw it's 70% saturday and clears up around 5 or 6 saturday night.

either way, LSU has a ton of experience this year playing in the rain.

does alabama?

Henry is great, and will probably do most of his damage in the first half...but, he tends to get tired as Saban uses him more by far than any other RB.

I haven't seen this. Just last week he went beast mode on a game winning drive in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter.

One of our best games this year was in the rain, in Athens.

I'm not even going to read the rest of the thread because you will have uneducated gump fans telling you how great player A, B, C, C, etc...is. You are correct though. LSU has the better QB and the much better OL. What is also getting lost in the equation is that LSU has a very good DLine and that Beckwith is a run stopping machine at MLB. Bama is going to need Coker to beat LSU....I like our chances

Well seeing as their best player got hurt the first play from the scrimmage the very next game, I'd say it was a quality win at the time.

How would LSU fare if yall lost Leonard Fournette to a season ending injury?

Guice wouldn't have Fournette to ware defenses down mind you.

he has added the ability to run on occasion and has a strong tendency to lower the shoulder on DBs to some startling success.

I really hope he tries this on Adams, he will get a snot bubble knocked out his arse!

LSU's quality win beat the crap out of bama's quality win

I know the transitive property doesn't work in football but it's interesting

I just don't see where Alabama's points or yards are going to come from.

LSU's giving up on average over 3 tds per game. If scrub arse schools can score 3 tds on that defense then Bama won't have a problem.

I have not watched LSU's play in the trenches, but don't you start a DE who is like 6'6'', 230 in Key? I know he is in on passing situations but is he your every down starting DE?

I wouldn't necessarily use size as a reason LSU will struggle to stop the run. For comparison (and I realize there are other variables), in 2011 LSU held a very good Alabama running game and with a very good offensive line to 96 yards rushing. LSU started 235 pound Mingo and 240 pound Montgomery at defensive end. Michael Brockers and Bennie Logan were the starting DTs, and they weighed 305 and 285 respectively.

No one is talking about how LSU has the 6th best rushing defense in college football giving up just 93 ypg. 3.25 ypc. How is Alabama going to run against LSU with that crap offensive line?
Shhhhh, don't let them know ahead of time that they will not be able to run the ball. Bama has the poorest offensive line in Saban's tenure at gumpville.

LSU is deeper at the running back position than UGA. Obviously losing your best player, and a player that is probably the best player in college football, would be a huge loss, but I don't think LSU would totally collapse like we've seen UGA do.

I'm bored so I'll bite.

You beat Florida by 7 points. One of the worst rushing offenses out there (Yes, prior to playing LSU). Florida had 55 yards rushing and 271 yards passing. So, by your logic, Bama doesn't HAVE to run the ball well to win.

Neither does LSU.

No matter how either side spins it, all signs point to a battle as usual. Just that there should be more scoring this go around. And we all hate special teams...amirite?

Edit: I may have to apologize to Florida's rush offense. I know they were decent prior to the LSU game, but I've lost my numbers for that.

This has been discussed ad nauseum. You fail to realize that Auburn is the best rushing offense LSU has faced.

Do some research before engaging your cake crusher.
