Johnny completely sucked.

not in college when he got to do as he pleased on and off the field. it's only now that he's a professional and can't handle himself off the field and has to play within an actual team atmosphere that he's having troubles.

You should make a different thread about this too

I mean this as a complement to Texas A&M and its resources: they could do better than Sumlin, much better. A&M's AD should have dared Sumlin to leave and call him on his bluff. Instead he got a massive payday for letting Johnny Manziel do his thing. I understand the irony of this given LSU gave Les job security after Jeff Long's "offer", but at least his new contract was justifiable.

His 2013 gameplan against LSU was a laugh riot. Horrible LSU defense that basically just prepped for Johnny to run around.

Anyways, I think Chavis will help him out a lot adjusting his scheme to SEC play, but for now he's been pretty exposed as far as his scheme is concerned.

eta: And I don't think Sumlin is just clueless. he's just wayy overrated and from a performance-based pay standpoint is not getting it done.

I was kidding.
For the record, I think the "Bert" and weight stuff is ridiculous AF.
I learn much about other posters by their usage of such sophomoric nicknames (e.g. aggy, old piss, swamp kittens, etc.).
But that's just up-tight, can't-ever-let-others-have-fun, pretentious me.

Sherm was 0-3 against Arkansas, which is beyond embarrassing. Sumlin is 3-0, which isn't even worth nothing.

I don't know why they think it's a troll either. Wins are declining along with the number of Sherman croots. It's a valid question.

You know back in the 2012 offseason after Arkansas beat A&M three times in a row all of yall acting like it would be IMPOSSIBLE for us to beat Arkansas when we entered the SEC. I remember it well.

Now here we sit three years later on our own three game streak and yall act still act like its impossible for us to win next year.

The reality disconnect is a little dizzying even for an Aggie.

Sumlin's not that bad.

Out of SEC coaches, I'd definitely take him over McElwain, Mullen, and whoever's coaching Vandy.

You're kinda like the sidekick that re-arranges what the main guy says and presents it in an echo-like fashion (but in a cheerleady way).

I can't think of any examples because I don't watch cartoons. Can you help me out?

Sumlin has won some huge regular season games. Most of them on the road. That is huge for A&M. This is a fanbase that barely remembers a conference title and has no national titles in their lifetimes. Sumlin is more than meeting expectations in College Station. The win at Bama bought him at least 12 years, regardless of results.
