Four years of Ingram and im not impressd.

All his good games came against shite defenses. Maybe one game wasnt.

Hope he does leave "stanky" New Orleans.

he ran very hard for the saints this year, this was basically his first year to be healthy most of the season. yes it was the last year on his contract but even though, he was our best back.

I don't know about the affording part. They always restructure a few players contracts each year and hand out an outrageous deal to veteran kinda like Ingram.

I hope he stays.

I just hope he doesn't demand something outrageous.

If he demands top dollar............well..........bye.

Yup, I honestly think Loomis works his magic and we keep him.

Watching him play for the saints the past few years, he's just a B+ running back. I hope the saints resign him because I don't see them upgrading, but he's never really shown that he has the burst to make 15+ yard runs when he has a step on the linebackers.

How did Saban run him to the ground as a senior when he left after his junior year? When he was hurt his JUNIOR year, he sat out them games! Some LSU fans need to let there hate for Saban go, he's going on his 9th season at Alabama!

Motivated by a contract year. Never a good sign when shopping for free agents.

Nah, this started last year. He bulked up to be a bruising back and that was never his thing

Great stats. You left out another area where Tate has higher numbers than Ingram.

Number of times cut/released by an NFL team:
Tate - 2
Ingram - 0

Richardson played against Duke. Ingram didn't play that year till he was ready and it was his decision to get some carries but he was very limited that year.

ETA he played against Duke but he only got 9 carries as Richardson and Lacy also played.

He wasn't cut or released from the Texans. He's had injury issues.

We'd let him walk too if we had Foster...

When you have zero strength, it's pretty easy to maintain.

At least Tate didn't get traded as a first round pick because he was so awful.

yup only 9 carries for 151 yds and 2 TDs... The most carries / yards of any back. I think if you try really hard you can still spin it that he never played in that game but I ain't doin the work for ya.

He was cut from the Browns and the Vikings. That's two teams.

Are we talking Ingram or Richardson here? i thought we were talking about Ingram. Let me know when you find a Bama fan who doesn't readily admit that - for whatever reason - Trent has been a bust.

Ingram is a pretty good back, but I think he was under 4 ypc in 6 of the 13 games he played in this year. His longest run in four years has been 35 yards. Also, he has been injury prone. He played in 11 games last year and 13 this year. I'd keep him for a cheap price, but I wouldn't pay a lot for him with Robinson on the roster.

Backs like Ingram are a dime a dozen in the NFL. You can draft one in the 3rd or 4th round and get the same production.

Well the thread was started about Ingram and a Bama fan felt the need to compare him with Ben Tate. All I did was provide their nearly identical stats with no judgement either way.
