Ingram wasn't as good as Richardson. And Lacy isn't better than either of those. Lacy is another really good back out of Louisiana. There are a couple every year. LSU has a team full of them. Put Lacy on another team without a great offensive line and he would just be another back that plays well but would put up average numbers.

He'd still be a 1000 yard rusher. Yeldon is gonna steal carries from him, so Lacy gets around 1400 if he gets 240ish carries. If he gets just 200ish, he'll get around 1200 yards.

The kid was damn good in high school. He played in a extremely hard 5A district and the school had a QB who liked to air it out.

Bama arguably has the best O line... and LSU is a close second, but my question is who has the better D line? Whos d line can stop the other teams o line in its tracks?

Lacy seems to be pretty good but I would take a hillaird/ ford combo any day over lacy...

How did he rank coming out of high school? He wasn't even one of the top backs in La. The year he signed with Alabama. Would you trade our best back for him and who is our best?

Collectively, your backs are not as good as Lacy. Saban & Co. coach ours up.

It's hard to compare a 34 DL and a 43 DL. You have the best 43 DL, Bama has the best (because of depth, UGA's starting three may be better than Bama's) 34 DL.

Correct on the first part but their QB was a terrible passer and they ran the shite out of the triple option with York at FB and Lacy at RB. They never really had a need to pass the ball with those two.

He will lose the Heismen by a very close margin to AJ McCarron. Best RB in the SEC by a long shot.

That's the spirit. Best post yet!

Here's the final word: Bama and LSU will be very comparable at OLine and RB. Both will be loaded with future NFL players.

without the option

Mettenberger may.not be able to run the option but he brings his strong ability to pass to the table, which we didn't have last november or january... you wont be able to crowd the box when mett is dropping 50 yard bombs and throwing 15 yard bullets... eric Reid said the secondary at LSU gets frustrated because they can't defend his passes because he's so accurate...and that's against the number one secondary in the league...

I remember watching game film on Lacy and being very impressed. Kinda disappointed the coaches backed off because of his grades. They went the safe route. Somehow Lacy turned it around in the classroom. Miraculous things happen when a kid signs with certain programs. I guess we didn't need the attention.

Typical gumper, using such elegant and sophisticated language. Tell us, what year did you drop out of school?
