How did he rank coming out of high school? He wasn't even one of the top backs in La. The year he signed with Alabama. Would you trade our best back for him and who is our best?

He's good but not near Trent Richardson good.

He would just be another back in the big mix we have here. Not a guy who would eat up like 200-250 carries.

He'll run just fine behind Bama's OL which is loaded though...and no I wouldn't trade any of our backs for him...not because he isn't good I just think it's a lateral move either way.

He's actually a pretty quality back. He has had some injury issues, so I don't think he's reached his potential.

With bama's offensive line, they can make any running back appear better. Expect to see a three headed rotation between their backs.

I don't know about all that. I think he'd be in the top two but I don't think he's that special.

So you think that he is better tan any of our running backs? You can't be serious. Anyone of our backs would be successful running behind the Alabama line. Besides, I think that LSU has the edge at offensive line this year. A very small edge.

Yea I can't see Ford or Ware getting many carries over him....although I think Hilliard could give him a run.....but altogether I'd agree with you.

I think he would have started here as a redshirt freshman last year.

lolwut.....LSU might end up having a good line but right now Bama's O Line is top 2-3 in the country at least.

I think Hillard is a better back. I think Ware is on equal footing with him. Lacy is a solid back no doubt, but he is injury prone and has been since hs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him in NY for the Heisman ceremony at the end of the season.

I remember watching Eddie Lacy's highlight film for the first time and just remember being amazed. The guy is so powerful and a down hill runner that I fell in love with his running style. I look forward to seeing him being the starter this year.

Neither have the moves that Lacy has. Hillard and Ware are straight up hill running backs. Lacy has speed, quickness, and a sick spin move. Hillard is over-hyped.

Top 3 back in the Sec. Will get atleast 1200 yds TJ Yeldon will steal some snaps and McCannon will pass more this yr. He'll be an NFL starter. He won't get the # of carries to get a 1 st grade plus he had nagging injuries. He is really talented though.

CBSsports, a COMMON source for LSU fans, thinks that Lacy is the fourth best back in the nation.

I agree.

Lattimore > Davis > Ball > Lacy
