See if the refs will let you have 35 defenders on the field

Rumor has it -- and I have a source on the TAMU coaching staff -- that they're going to unveil the new and exciting "First and Chavis" defense in this game.

12 men in the box and hope Hurts misses the open receivers.

Don't worry about stopping the Bama starting offense. Just worry about stopping Bama's 2nd string offense.

If you don't stop them, the score will get out of hand. Just ask Vandy and Ole Miss.

Barely stop y’all? I’d say holding an SEC opponent to 17 points pretty good. We made you completely one sided and held you to under 280 yards. I’d take that weekly and walk away with 10-11 wins yearly.

I would go bend dont break, shorten the field in the red zone and try to limit to 3 or force a turnover. Dont see any other way.

Stack the box and play man, pray Hurts has a bad passing game. On offense, just run enough to keep Bama honest, nobody runs effectively on Bama, but if aTm must run, do it from the qb position. Bama will play a lot of man coverage, so throw a lot of 50/50 balls and hope your guy makes the play. Most importantly when Hurts throws a bad pass and hits your defender in the hands, make sure he catches it. Unless aTm wins the turnover battle they have no chance.

Stack the box to stop the run and make Hurts throw. Everyone knows he can't hit the side of the barn. Follow this blueprint and Aggy rolls.

Outside of one good quarter we held you to under 100 yards.

You are literally omitting a quarter of a game to come up with a stat to make your team look better.

Good luck with that! BAMA hasn't turned it over since last year's Iron Bowl. 34 straight quarters.

No one said any of the scenarios ITT were going to happen.
Just a discussion.

All this discussion is missing one important fact that presents he futility of the argument.

Even if A&M miraculously stops Alabama's offense....Bama's defense will probably outscore us.

Put 9 in the box and play zero coverage.

If Hurts throws for 500 yards so be it. You can't let them go on 10 play drives that are nothing but runs.
That's the worst possible thing to do. All Dabol is going to do is go to the 3WR 2RB set and get favorable match-ups. Once Chavis adjusts, if he adjusts, it will open up the lanes that they were trying to prevent all along. Double spy is the best option if you ask me. Maybe a triple spy with the two DE's staying home on obvious passing downs.

Come on man, this is luck as much as skill. I can count three times defenders have dropped passes thrown by Hurts, and once by Tua, and Bama has recovered fumbles by their offense too. Those could have gone either way depending on the bounce of the ball. It is a remarkable improbable run no doubt, but there is a bit of luck involved too.
