Jesus man you know as much as we do. Almost every blown assignment on defense is his fault. He is weak, white and slow and is an embarrassment to our previously badass defense

He is so obviously bad that you can't even troll us Tiger fans.

I've been laughing at him playing all year. My thought, for what it's worth and that's not much, is if he gets players in the right checks and is in correct position but gets blown out of the play or misses a tackle, how is that different from playing a more athletic guy who might be out of position but capable of using his athleticism to make a play? There HAS to be someone better than welter on our team but who knows.

Part of being an LSU fan is having to deal with the fact that the coaching staff will each year select a player to get playing time who has NO BUSINESS on any team in the SEC, much less starting.
Or, they are played in the wrong position by the staff, making them look like they do not belong on the field.
A few years ago it was #44 Danny McCray.
Then, Bama was the benefactor of #9, Mr Jordan Jefferson
This year, there are more than one, but Welter is beyond horrible and gets the trophy for "How in the hell is that guy on the field" award.
It continues until it does significant damage, and the coaching staff are behind gum-chewing 5 year old girls ad 85 year grandmas to realize Welter has no business playing.
It defines the word inexplicable.
Miles has his strengths, but he is either dumb on steroids or hard-headed on steroids, and many think it is both
Karnell Hatcher and T-bob need to be metioned before Jefferson

#31 is awful but I don't blame him, he's giving it all he has unfortunately its not even close to enough. But he is not the only one that doesn't belong on the field from this years LSU team, #78, #98, #59, #28, #26, #18, #55, #65, #6, #85, #38 & #90 all have had a piss poor season. 2015 team will resemble 2011, book it!

41 assisted tackles
18 solo
through 10 games
doesn't even average 2 solos a game.

When I watched the game, I started paying attention to the guy who was called for the late hit (and another stupid penalty/play, iirc.) Was it Loston? Whoever it was, he actually looked the part, but, my god, the guy had almost no fundamentals that I could determine while watching the rest of the game. There's no way Chavis, who is a good fundamental coach, taught him to play like that.

He physically looks like some average joe off the streets and plays just like it. Am I missing something? Am watching the Replay of the game and noticed how bad he is.

I feel bad for Welter. He made a good play on Saturday, then went to celebrate, but realized he's not that good so he stopped himself and did a half-hearted celebration instead.
He plays as hard as he frickin can. He's maxed out his talent and shouldn't be out there to get chastised like he is. He's just not good enough. Not his fault.

Like #18 is passed down, Welter wins the Jordan Jefferson award for 2013, just thinking about Jefferson playing QB still makes me ill.

Seriously, you are correct.

What drives me nuts about welter is that his first is almost always back then getting sucked into the block.

Yep
Win Ole Miss and UGA. Those teams just abused him. It was so hard to watch. Everyone can see it apparently besides our coaches or our backups have a collective IQ of 45 (which might be possible).
