We'll win some games we shouldn't

We'll lose some games we shouldn't

Such is the life in Athens.

8-4 probably. This team is super young, and hopefully a season to gel and work together. 2018 should be a great year

Lose some players on defense but have plenty of talent. I have come to expect another number 1 recruiting class coming in every year. I see no reason for this year to be any different. With good coaching and the best coaching staff in the country, Bama should contend again.

Fitzgerald leads the SEC in total yards while the Defense is 12-14th in every category. Sounds like a 6-6 to 7-5 season.

App State - Win
@Notre Dame - Win
Samford - Win
Miss St - Win
@Tennessee - Toss Up
@Vandy - Win
Mizzou - Win
BYE
Florida - Should be a toss up but I'm calling it a loss
USC - Win
@Aub - Toss Up
UK - Toss Up
GT - Win

Key losses: RB Nick Chubb, RB Sony Michel, OLB- Davin Bellamy (likely), OLB Lorenzo Carter (likely), CB Mo Smith
Key returning starters: QB- Jacob Eason, WR Javon Wims, TE Isaac Nauta, OG/OT Isaiah Wynn, DT Trenton Thompson, DT Julian Rochester, DE David Marshall, ILB Roquan Smith, ILB Natrez Patrick, Safety Dominick Sanders, K Rodrigo "Pussy Crusher" Blankenship

If we get some bounces to go our way I think we can be an 11 win team. Everything pretty much hinges on some of our young OL developing under Pittman and Eason improving his deep accuracy in the spring. Defense returns basically everyone except our two OLB's who seem headed for the exit. Offense loses a few linemen (two of whom are really bad, but Pyke will be missed) and two great running backs, but we have a lot of talent at RB, so with an improved OL we could have a better running game than this year. Our defense should be pretty good, offense all depends on the OL and Eason... if the OL can open up holes and Eason can get a little more accurate on his 20+ yd throws, then not even Chaney should be able to frick up that badly.

My prediction: 9-3, late season losses to Florida, Auburn, a slip up against UK cost us the chance to go to Atlanta.

the same bad coaching?

Because O in charge doesn't represent great head coaching to me. We will lose to A&M at some point, why not next season.

Okay, I give LSU the win, does 7-5 make it better?

I think 2017 will be Kentucky's best team since 2007 and has a chance to surpass the 2007 team handily.

Kentucky returns a ton (losses in bold):

LT: Cole Mosier (6-6, 335, Jr.); Landon Young (6-7, 305, Fr.)

LG: Nick Haynes (6-3, 316, Jr.); Logan Stenberg (6-6, 318, R-Fr.)

C: Jon Toth (6-5, 310, Sr.); Jervontius Stallings (6-3, 318, So.)

RG: Jervontius Stallings (6-3, 318, So.);Ramsey Meyers (6-4, 305, Jr.)

RT: Kyle Meadows (6-4, 300, Jr.) OR George Asafo-Adjei (6-5, 315, So.)

TE: C.J. Conrad (6-5, 245, So.); Greg Hart (6-5, 245, Jr.)

QB: Stephen Johnson (6-2, 183, Jr.);Luke Wright (6-4, 205, So.); Gunnar Hoak (6-4, 200, Fr.)

RB: Boom Williams (5-9, 196, Jr.);Jojo Kemp (5-10, 200, Sr.) OR Benny Snell (5-11, 220, Fr.)

WR: Jeff Badet (6-0, 180, Jr.); Blake Bone (6-5, 213, Jr.); Kayaune Ross (6-6, 225, So.)

WR: Ryan Timmons (5-10, 198, Sr.); David Bouvier (5-9, 171, So.)

WR: Garrett Johnson (5-11, 175, Jr.) OR Charles Walker (5-11, 203, Jr.)

WR: Tavin Richardson (6-3, 216, R-Fr.) OR Dorian Baker (6-3, 208, Jr.); Jabari Greenwood (6-3, 195, R-Fr.)

FB: Will Tom Collins (5-11, 241, Sr.); Tanner Fink (6-2, 251, Sr.)

This assumes (highly likely) that Boom Williams goes pro. If not, whoo boy, that offense.

On defense:

LB: Josh Allen (6-5, 230, So.); Jordan Bonner (6-5, 220, So.-JC)

DT: Adrian Middleton (6-3, 303, So.); Tymere Dubose (6-5, 320, So.)

NG: Naquez Pringle (6-3, 320, Jr.); Matt Elam (6-7, 360, Jr.)

DE: Courtney Miggins (6-5, 285, Sr.); Alvonte Bell (6-5, 260, Jr.)

DE/OLB: Denzil Ware (6-2, 255, So.); Kengera Daniel (6-5, 260, So.)

NB: Blake McClain (5-11, 200, Sr.); Kendall Randolph (6-0, 182, Jr.)

LB: Courtney Love (6-2, 242, Jr.); Kash Daniel (6-1, 241, Fr.)

LB: Jordan Jones (6-2, 220, So.); Eli Brown (6-2, 215, R-Fr.)

CB: Derrick Baity (6-3, 182, So.); Jordan Griffin (6-0, 177, Fr.) OR Davonte Robinson (6-2, 187, Fr.)

CB: Chris Westry (6-4, 195, So.); J.D. Harmon (6-2, 200, Sr.)

SS: Mike Edwards (6-0, 200, So.); Kendall Randolph (6-0, 182, Jr.)

FS: Marcus McWilson (6-0, 210, Sr.) OR Blake McClain (5-11, 200, Sr.)

I think we should go 9-3 also with losses to UF, AU, and UK/Vandy sounds about right. The reason I'm optimistic about our future is because most of our losses were close ones and smart is an elite recruiter.

I've thought for awhile that 2017 could be a huge season for UGA, but I think it'll be 2018 now. This OL isn't going to be fixed in one recruiting class.

Will UGA fans call in 92.9 and 680 this off- season and declare themselves preseason SEC favorites again??

Only if tech fans promise to keep calling in complaining that they don't talk tech football on those stations.

Auburn just has to solidify the QB position,

I think have a qb for the position is more accurate.

On the bright side, JJ will not start. On the downside, we might be facing the same nightmare scenario and cannot continue to take several games to settle on an offensive identity.

Sean White is good enough to win with, if he's healthy, but unfortunately he struggles to stay healthy. So, if we land Stidham I think he wins the job and SW will be his backup.

We need a serviceable qb and a decent backup. Unless recruiting gets us some good options, we might have neither.

Does anyone actually know the extent of White's injury?

The usual. We'll reload from a bunch of players going to the NFL. Replace a coach or 3 on the staff.

Probably win the west again, and make the playoff.
