LSU beat an SECw team on the road in it's only game of the season. Auburn was awful against 0-2 Louisville and freaking JSU.
Meanwhile, Bama (despite its QB struggles) dominated Wisconsin and MTSU. OM has blown out two absolute cupcakes.
Now, you are questioning why LSU fans are confident but have no questions as to why OM fans are confident.

There are only 3 teams that have recruited better on average over the past 5 years.
Those teams happen to be the past 4 national champs.
It's probably not irrational to think LSU could and should be good.

Most of us are not confident. But a lot of us have a massive IC and won't admit it. I personally see another 8-5 year or 9-4 at best. This is where most LSU fans over 13 see it going.
