how is that better than double over-time on the road following a plane crash?

And there it is. I was waiting for someone to use the plane crash excuse. You know Brett Favre played a football game the day his father died and ended up having the game of his life.

They were up by 17. They lost because their QB imploded not because of a plane crash. I think it is sad that people honor the victims by blaming them for an OSU loss.

OSU imploded late in the game because they turned the ball over too much. Even a bad team can win when you give the ball away that much.

there loss is better imo..

The ONLY thing that BAMA chooses to use as a point of comparison is who they lost to.

Have the balls to - just once - compare the body of work including who you beat.

NOBODY compared to OSU.

Ol Miss = Iowa State (maybe, sort of)??

Bama spanked Ol Miss

Iowa State beat Okie State.

Is this how it works?

Team A

Best Win = 7 points @Home vs #10 team*

2nd best win = 24 points @Home vs #14 team

3rd best Win = 34 points @Home vs #19 team

4th Best Win = 21 Points Road vs Unranked 7-5 Bowl Team

5th Best Win = 12 Points Road vs 7-5 Bowl Team

6th Best Win = 1 Point Road vs 6-6 Bowl team*

TEAM B

Best Win = 24 points @Home vs #7 team

2nd best win = 16 points ROAD Win vs #23 team

3rd best Win = 28 pts ROAD Win vs 7-5 Bowl Team

4th Best Win = 28 pts ROAD Win vs 6-6 Bowl Team

5th Best Win = 17 pts ROAD Win vs 6-6 Bowl Team

6th Best Win = 34 Points @home vs 6-6 Bowl Team

If I look at these 2 resumes back to back I'm not absolutely sure which is better.

Bama had 11 wins plus a huge moral victory (Bama-speak for "better loss").

One voter put Oklahoma St behind HOUSTON in the final ballot of the season.

But it didn't matter, the computers put Alabama in.
