They love him more than he loves them.

I'm glad he is at Auburn and I hope we can keep him a while. We have been pretty bad for over a decade. Lebo was below average and Barbee was a disaster. I had hoped we would be a little better this year, but I didn't realize what a hole we were starting in. I'm optimistic about the future and I look forward to the day when we are competitive in the SEC and can return to the Tourney.

And I've got to say, our run in the SEC tourney last year is probably the best thing we have seen out of Auburn basketball in five or eight years, which is pretty bad.

Is there a fire drill? The Auburn fans are streaming out of the arena.

Auburn will be a very solid NCAA tourney team starting next year and continuing while BP is there but Pearl is heading to Memphis as soon as they get rid of Pastner which could be in a year or two.

You heard it here first, BP will be the Memphis Tigers next coach. (Based on a source close to their program)

So, it looked like an LSU football home game?

No one said he was a bad recruiter, just a bad coach. His recruiting masks a lot of his iniquities on the X's and O's side.

He's still the worst X's and O's coach in the conference.

I had no sources with any of the ATPB nonsense..lol. I do have a friend in Memphis whose friend is very close to Pearl. He was told that Memphis would come hard after BP when/if Pastner is let go and that BP would likely take the job. Take it for what it's worth but the same source was absolutely dead on about everything that was going to go down in the Albert Means scandal. He's heavily plugged into the U of Memphis and the area sports scene in general.

Love Bruce. He's climbing a muddy mountain and it' gonna take him a while. He is good for Auburn and Auburn is good for him. He's in a no-pressure situation and he's recruiting well. I expect us to compete as a bubble team next season, and after that be a perennial contender for the tourney. He's great and his kids and the Auburn family love the guy.
