Sort of like in the South when someone starts a sentence, "Bless her heart, she's ugly as homemade sin." The 'bless 'their' heart' is license to say whatever you want to about said person.

Yet Cam took a 2-14 team ranked #32 (Dead Last) in offense in 2010 to a 6-10 record and the #7 ranked offense while Tebow inherited a 1-4 team to finish 8-8 and make the playoffs?

Sure, Tebow leaving had an impact, I don't disagree.

Problems were the attrition coming into 2011, with a new staff and guys who may not have fit into the scheme.

As far as 2010 went, Meyer was not even close to his old self.

Yes but all the players around have to fit the system. If you get the wrong players to run a certain type of offense it will not work.

Just like Demps and Rainey were great RB's in the spread. You put them in a pro-style offense....and they couldn't get anything going.

And UT won the national championship the year after Peyton Manning left.

Not taking anything away from Cam/Tebow(two of the best), but it takes a complete team to win a championship.

Cam had no defense, and a mediocre supporting cast on offense. Look at them without him, just putrid.

I don't think it was just Tebow at UF, but to run Meyers system you had to have a certain type of QB. Once Tebow left you had Brantley who was more of a pro set and you had an O Line and RB's there were more suited for spread. The combination of the two is what happened..

Mullen was the OC with Myers for years. Do you think his leaving hurt also?.......I do.

Mullen > Addazzi at playing calling for the spread so, yea it hurt.

I must admit that I didn't want to admit the above but it's true.

But, I'm better than Addazzi at calling plays so...

No,they were loaded on offense with a senior offensive line,All SEC RB,Good wr's, and tight end. Their pass D was bad, but their run D was good with Fairly.

So, you think Aubie would have won it all again with Cam and that horrible team around him?

You could see how much that hurt in 2009. They only lost once but the offense was not the same They were carried by the D. I also think losing Harvin was a big loss as well. He change the dynamic on O running the Read Option with Tebow.

because they were never supposed to be good. somewhere along the line fate got fricked up by spurrier and ray goff. now nature is correcting the imbalance and florida is headed back to pre 1990 times. about damn time too, all these natural disasters this decade coupled with UF wins were beginning to freak me out

no, Florida created these disasters, now the balances of nature are fixing the anomaly. what spurrier and meyer did at UF was cavalier and reckless, playing with the world's fate like that. so now UF just has to stay at where it's at for a while, that is why we put a manchurian HC in at the bad place off of I 75

we back in to just one national title by accident and you can't say this you gott damn lizzard

I agree. I just don't agree with your original statement that "Cam & Tebow would have been destroyed, if they played for AU & UF this year". They may not have won a championship but they would have been MUCH better teams with those respective players. GREAT QB's truly make that much difference. The Indianapolis went 75-21 from 2005 through 2010 with some shitty defenses. One guess why they went 2-14 last year?

it wasn't just losing Tebow. They lost Harvin, Brandon Spikes, Hernandez, Pouncey, Joe Haden, solid guys like Major Wright, Louis Murphy, etc.
