The guy is a beast physically. No way around it. Reminds me physically of Trent Richardson, just couldnt get it together enough to be as effective as he should have been.

With some refinement, he could probably fill a nice role in the NFL in some position or another. I assure you, if he got an invite, there was a reason.

Mark it down...Mario Fannin will be the greatest practice squad player in the history of the NFL.

I'm glad he gets a chance to shine. He contributed his fair share to the team during his tenure, let's not act like he was a straight failure.

Best receiving RB we've ever had, statistically, for starters.

I know he was expected to be Ben Tate redux this year, but he was still serviceable.

Mario just ran a 4.37 and 4.43. Physically gifted but that is about it.

He is getting a look by NFL scouts as a fullback or 3rd down back. 5'10 230lbs with room to add more screams fullback. He definitely has NFL speed and could add 30lbs and skill keep it. His skills translate perfectly to a 3rd down back in the NFL. His pass blocking skills are great, as is is ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. But he cannot run between the tackles, dances too much. He cold have a long career as a 3rd down back and special teams player.

At 5'10 230lbs, that is amazing. Stop hating on Mario. Its not his fault he had shitty coaching from Eddie Gran his first 3 years that he could not overcome.

Shoulder problems were probably the major cause of his fumbling issues. The one ball he should have fumbled but actually held on to was when he got knocked out standing up in the 09 IB.

Eddie Gran is overrated as a RB coach. He simply rode the talent he had at Auburn.
