I guess the real question is what has Mizzou done to garner the respect they seem to desire so much?

2. Missouri was a good team last year that had a few things come together at once. A historically good DL, a Senior QB who accounted for almost 3000 total yards and 23 TD's, A running back that ran for almost 1200 yards and 16 TD, two WR that accounted for 22 TD and over 1700 yards, and a +16 turnover margin.
Thats what typically happens to any great team you can replace the name Missouri at the beginning of this paragraph with any team and it would make perfect sense. No team has it all together you need lots of luck and for the chips to fall in the right place. Even Bama needs some luck to win and we all know Auburn was lucky last year....

My point was a lot really came together at a perfect time for Missouri to be all-time good last year. That being said, they still were 1-2 against teams that won 10 or more games. I think that they were good, but the record was a bit inflated by the schedule.

Regardless, I think both the schedule will be harder, and the team won't be as good, at WR, at RB, at QB, or on defense.

Therefore, and there is no disrespect here, Missouri will not have as good a record. Although i still think they'll be somewhere between 8-4 and 10-2.

You have to show sustained success before you get real respect. If Mizzou can win 12 again this season, people will take notice.

Mizzou's track record has been pretty good-- not world class, but solid and respectable.

Last ten seasons:
5-6
7-5
8-5
12-2
10-4
8-5
10-3
8-5
5-7
12-2

I do think there is a level of disrespect shown toward Mizzou considering their recent track record. A team that finishes top 5 in the polls should be ranked in the preseason top 25, but whatever. It doesn't really matter in the scheme of things. Just win.

I meant you have to have sustained success in the SEC. In case you haven't noticed, we're kind of football snobs.

I think you guys will do fine though. I don't think last season was a freak occurrence by any means.

I will concede the J-School at Mizzou and the Washington University School of Medicine. Beyond that, it is primarily a state of ghettos and towns not unlike Skidmore.

Atlanta stole your Hawks. Baltimore stole the Browns and Phoenix took football Cardinals. The most famous person from your state is Chuck Berry.

I mean, you suck. Your feel stink and you don't love Santa nor Jesus. You are Missouri.

The most famous person from our state is either Brad Pitt or Jon Hamm.

Typically weak cock effort.

4 ten win seasons in 10 years really doesn't move the bar that much in the SEC...

UGA - 6 ten win seasons...94 wins...3 SECC games...1 SEC Championship

Bama - 7...101 wins... 3 SECC apps...2SECC wins

Aub - 4...92 wins... 3 SECC apps...3SECC wins

UF - 4...94 wins... 3 SECC apps...2SECC wins

LSU - 7...105 wins... 3 SECC apps...2SECC wins

SCe - 3...83 wins... 1 SECC apps...0SECC wins

Mizzou - 4...85 wins... 3 CC apps(2 B12/1SEC)... 0 CC wins

I just think everyone is in a "good year Mizzou, let's see what happens now" mode. The SEC(despite the BS here)has always been a tight knit bunch. Y'all upset the applecart a lil last year, similiar to aTm in '12. Pull another season near to what you did last year outta your arse with your key losses & you'll get the respect you long for. No matter what you did in the B12 your still a 1 hit wonder in the SEC so far....

Seize the opportunity & run with it, don't ask for it... earn it...
