I'll never understand that if it's a play that ends the game then what harm is it to reverse the win and give it to Duke. It's not like this is a law that a team that wins that day must forever be the winner.

It doesn't matter much if NCAA rules continue to not allow changes to the outcome of a game when egregious errors like that occur.

Actually Belle...the ACC could change the outcome of this game...they do have the power to do it...now would they? I would rather piss off 700 Cane fans than a few thousand or so Duke fans who have $$$ in their basketball account.
The ACC is being horse whipped with this outcome by the national media.

I think Duke should get the W in their game yesterday and the Canes should forfeit it....they should make it right, especially when bowl status is at stake....and $$.

So we should ignore the questionable calls on Duke's final drive and just decide the game on the horrible calls on Miami's last possession?

That was a blatant no call that cost Duke the game. That crew should be suspended or demoted.

I am so tired of this crap. Did anybody watch the go ahead TD by Duke? Three PIs called on that drive, and all of them were awful calls.

The Refs were awful all around.

if the victim was clemson or fsu, the acc would have given them the win. of course, the refs would have called the miami player down and not removed the penalty flag if it was fsu/clemson.

I'll give the ACC one thing- they threw this crew under the buss and backed it over them a few times, which is EXACTLY what they deserve. If an entire group of officials makes this many mistakes, they need to be let go.

What do you think the SEC would do in a case like this? I guarantee you they would circle the wagons, defend, deflect, and deny, and wait for the controversy to die down. And they would then just go back to business as usual. Nothing would happen to an SEC official who cost a team it's season. Nothing.

Officials frick up all the time, just like players and coaches do.

It's just part of sports, you just gotta try to train and monitor them as best you can.

Yea, but why does it always favor the more prestigious team?
