Not comparable. Manziel just acts out a little and trolls people. Marshall Henderson won't make it to 40 at this rate.

He is brash, arrogant and cocky. He is also a winner and a tremendous talent.

I didn't hate him for being at TAMU, I hated that he didn't play for the HOGS.

My 78 yr old dad and I were discussing this last season.

If Johnny had played for the Hogs, we would have given his antics a complete pass and would have reveled in the hate that would have spewed from the rest of the SEC.

Since he torched us in two straight games, we hated him.

Now that he is in the NFL, I don't hate him; I'm merely interested to see how his style of play translates to the NFL.

I hate Saban, Cam, Tebow, December 6, 1969, the Stoernover, and Hootie Dale.

In other words, this is simple fan stuff. Anybody who seriously hates on some college kid needs some help

Who hasn't made a QB perfect overall at their own physical dimensions. Manziel is like watching that players career on sim mode. I'm a proud father. No way should that little shite survive much less lead the SEC in rushing. Dark magic is a powerful thing and he will be in the league for a long time.

Those who dislike him, why?

He's an arrogant prick that has gotten tons of praise for not really doing anything other than beating Alabama, and finishing 3rd in the West.

Raised with a silver spoon in his mouth...has everything a college kid could ever hope for...then has he audacity to say, "people should spend a day in my shoes," as if his life isn't the best money can buy?

Douche

Give it a rest. Unless you're gay, you don't get a free ticket to the NFL without plenty of hard work and talent.

Kid's a cocky douche. Same reason people dislike Brady or Lebron. Not saying I don't like him, because I do. But it's not hard to figure out why people don't like him.

How do you equate Manziel to Brady or Lebron? Yes they are all cocky but only one goes out of his way to act like a douche too often. It's also the same one who has won nothing except a Cotton Bowl.

yeah the "spend a day in my shoes" comment was bush league. As well as the "Cant wait to leave College Station" comment.

He does act entitled. But hey that has been working for him.

I think most people that dont like him feel that way because they are waiting for him to fall from grace and say I told you so.

Yeah, I did. I'm from Tyler and I've known Johnny and his family since he was about 6. He was a good kid growing up but his family has apparently rubbed off on him. The Manziel family in Tyler is notorious for being low class and Johnnys antics exemplify that.

Do what? How many NFL players have a "Connections to shooting incidents" section on their Wikipedia page?

As an older aggie, I dislike his cockyness. I agree that he should be less "lebron" like. I didn't like Cam for the same reason.

I will say that johnny did get better about it (except for the cashing out thing.) That hand gesture has been going on for about 3 years at a&m though. One of the guys started a dang clothing line based on it.

quote:

He told a rice player to look at the scoreboard.
On this front, Johnny knew that guy from high school, and was taunting him because the guy from rice mocked him about an autograph. It was all in jest, and if you heard it described by johnny, they were just messing with each other. Unfortunately, the media made it into a story.
