you should google around a bit before starting threads in the future.

No, we look like the bad guy because we are looking after our own self interests. No one else cares about LSU, so why should we give a Frick about Florida or the SEC? Especially when we tried everything to just get the game played on the weekend it was supposed to.
There were ZERO good fixes to the scheduling problem. Every other option put LSU in a bad situation. This one still fricking sucks for us because we have an impromptu home game against Florida instead of a scheduled home game next year.
Maybe if the SEC and Florida had looked at what canceling the game last Thursday would mean, we wouldn't be in this mess. But did Florida even want to play the game? We'll never know that for certain.

I don't even disagree with that, but if you think LSU comes out smelling like roses to the rest of the SEC and college football world, then you're sorely mistaken. And like I said I wasn't able to get on here last night or I wouldn't have started a thread about it.
LSU doesn't come out of this smelling like roses the entire situation is a shite show and it didn't need to be.

quote:no you are not, sec insurance is covering most of this. Funny how florida moving a home game to br was the perfect solution to lsu fans, no big deal florida, but lsu having to make it up next year is intolerable. You liked the idea as long as you were getting 3 straight home games against you permanent rival
Now LSU is paying 1.5 million

I can just look on the rant from last week and see all the threads created by and posted in by LSU fans saying that losing a home game is unacceptable economically. But when it's UF, who gives a shite that they lose the home game to you this year and all that revenue for 2016.
And we all know that the only reason this game is getting played is because "the release also noted that, had the game not been played, neither LSU nor Florida would have been eligible to play for the SEC Championship Game."
And you pussies anchored this thread.

Aleeva's job was to serve the best interest of his university, as perceived by him. No one is concerned about the perception of the SEC or the "college football world".
Move on already...

Uh, not really. But a good way to find out would be to ask all the teams (SEC, ACC, etc.) who played last weekend in Florida and around the Southeastern seaboard, including Miami!!! The same teams that failed to use the hurricane as an excuse to dodge a hard game. And why should LSU (and South Alabama for that matter) suffer the brunt of what at the very least, can only be characterized as Florida's stubbornness in dealing with the issue like all other teams in the same situation. There is virtually no benefit to LSU in the scenario that's panning out. Screws up their scheduling for 3 years when the game shoulda been played last weekend as scheduled, or modified slightly, if necessary. And don't give me this crap about players and family worried about family in the area. Many teams, including LSU, have family in the area as well. Maybe not as many, but are we going to cancel games every time a natural disaster threatens an area where the bulk of a teams family may be located? Where do you draw the line.

Do you not realize how many more resources a college football game requires than a high school game
