it was still a university landmark. whether you think it's a stupid landmark is irrelevant. updyke didn't kill a tree because it was "just a tree." he killed a tree because it was a landmark important to auburn. kid got in trouble for chipping off part of Howard's Rock at Clemson. I mean it's just a rock right?

Alabama has a GREAT University that everyone in the whole state should be proud of. Nothing wrong with educating our state's youth for a productive, proud and beneficial life. But if I were you (ANY Bama fan with any type of decency) I would start calling your fan base out starting right now. Your students and Alumni (who have worked their asses off over the years to represent YOUR UNIVERSITY the RIGHT way) deserve better. That is alot of work. Believe me, I did it at Auburn. The next time any of you Bama fans see any of this crap...call them out. Your whole University deserves better than this.

True but what can we do? Hey Alabama fans, stop being insane.

Walk up to them. Rip the Alabama hat off of their head and remind them that there are standards that are earned in life.

This is recent. But yes, they spent a lot of time and money to determine the severity of the damage to the soil and water.

MOre

it's the same process as that takes place under federal regs when a toxin in unknown quantities is released in a populated area.

Of course it was a tree. Could it have been worse? Of course. But it takes a sick frick to destroy a historical landmark and potentially contaminate the area over a football game.

updyke would be even more celebrated by bama fans if he managed to poison the water in auburn.

I remember a bama fan encouraging a shooter to go over to the auburn football complex after kick 6

Oh c'mon. You don't honestly believe this do you? I say a bunch of shite when I'm all pissy but after I cool down, I didn't mean it.

Your trying to push an agenda with this crap. Do our fans need to chill out? Absolutely. Does this message board need to stop with the generalizations about Bama fans? Absolutely. Both are based off of ignorance.

well from the reaction to what harvey did I wouldn't put it past the antibarner faction of your base to celebrate even more if updyke poisoned the water.

and the bama fan saying the shooter should go to the football complex actually happened during a thread where there was talk about a gunmen on campus. That was a few months after kick 6

More experience. I saw with my own eyes the Bama fans lined up on Bourbon and Canal to get autographs and pics with Updyke.

lol okay, or I could just ignore it since there have only been a handful of incidents out of hundreds of thousands of fans, and the chances of me being present during one of these instances are slim to none.

What area did you earn your degree in at The University of Alabama? Sorry for asking, but initially, you don't come across to me as a very smart guy. Did you actually go there? If not, then shut up. People like you are ruining the reputation of your state's University. If you actually went there, forgive me. But, you just don't seem up to par for some reason. But Bama fans need to stop regardless.
