UT travels as welll as any fanbase in the country, but a bunch of them are going to be left out b/c the other three schools gobbled up tickets in anticipation of making it.

No, it is not the other schools gobbled up early, it really is the NCAA only sent 1,200 per school. They did the same thing to Louisville last year with the same 1,200 allotment (many of the 1,200 were behind the basket on the 2nd and 3rd levels)

the problem is they don't have it set up like a FF with 50,000 tickets.

They were there last year with the same problem and the same seating and UK was not there. Lucas Oil can seat 70,000 for a Final four. For the regionals they seat over 40K but not the 70K of Final Four.

1,200 x 4 = 4,800 tickets on a seating plan of say 50K
Combined schools only get about 10% of total. NCAA distributes the other 90%.

NCAA has gone from decrying the scalpers to making them official sponsors. It is a sham and is killing the fan experience.

You've clearly never been to Lexington, Noob. It's one of the best cities in the SEC.

Not sure about that, but it's fun enough.

Go Cats Go SEC Go UT.

Cats got the worse matchup facing a tough UL team. I'd hate facing UK four times in a season.

Nah. The team that got fricked was Wichita State. That should have been an Elite 8 game.

Louisville and Kentucky will be a pretty evenly matched game IMO. We did beat them earlier this season when our team was not playing it's best ball though.

Typical NCAA and UK. They did the same thing with UK vs Kansas when Padgett (?) was there. UK had to play a second round game that would normally be a Sweet 16 game or better.

I mostly felt bad for Wichita State for having to play that game. I didn't feel hbad for the Cats as our team is just starting to peak.

Also had to play 1 of the 2 teams that beat them in 2012 in the Sweet 16.

The seeding they received in 2011 was probably worse than this year too.

It's an interesting matchup. The last game was the last one that Chane Behanan played before he got the (official) boot from the team. As also said, Randle had 17 in the 1st half but didn't play the 2nd due to cramps.

It's going to boil down to two things. First, can Kentucky maximize a pretty big mismatch in the post? This will also depend on WCS not playing a disappearing act as he has a tendency to do at times. Second, what's Russ Smith gonna do? When he gets hot the team tends to go with him.
