When a 6-6 team is considered the favorite to win the Division ? Has that happened since the beginning of Divisional play in the SEC ?

East has just as many perennial powers as the West.

Tennessee, Florida, and Georgia are legit national super powers.

Mizzou is very good.

And S Carolina, when they get over this purgatory period with Spurrier, will be a force. Too beautiful of a place and excellent recruiting location to not pull in talent.

In the West

Ole Miss and Miss St have no staying power.

Arkansas has the same ceiling as Mizzou.

Texas AM isn't on the elite level.

It's basically just Bama, LSU, and Auburn.

The divisions are remarkably even when you look at the big picture.

Arkansas, Miss St or Ole Miss would be the favorite in the East this year....All three are picked middle of the pack or bottom in the West.

That is total bullshat. Not a single one of those teams would be favored over UGA.

The talk is that TN will be picked to win the East by the press. I have never seen that happen in the SEC with a pre-season poll.

Even money with slight edge going to the team with home field advantage.
