Alabama band wagoneers everywhere. I grew up with some of them who have zero ties..

Makes it that much sweeter when they put Bama shite on FB and nobody comments or likes... They know the truth

There are quite a few in Arkansas, but generally not ones who cheer on the Razorbacks. In Ft Smith, there is a contingent which jump on board the OU/OSU respective bandwagons. It makes me sick.

It can be bad. I remember a family decked out in Georgia gear asking me when the Georgia game was starting even though it had already been over for 2 hours.

Meh, same amount of fans as ever before... we're talking about a state where the neutral Alabamans are probably outnumbered by liberal atheist Alabamans.

That said, both fanbases probably became more vocal/annoying/boastful after each title win.

There are definitely more bandwagon bama fans. I don't think it's a stretch to assume there's more bandwagon fans for a program having more success.

Isn't that what a bandwagon is.

I agree about the state being full of bandwagoners too.

No pro team states with winning programs, are the worst.

Oklahoma and Alabama are the two biggest bandwagon states. Their fans are so similar it is creepy. Oklahoma may even be a bit worse because Auburn is such a better program than Oklahoma State, but none the less I've never gotten anything but a similar vibe from either.

The speech, "you just don't understand, anything less than a national title is unacceptable" has been given to me by both those fan bases with the most condescending tone you can imagine. But I mean, from the baby boomer generation and upwards, Alabama has 10, and Oklahoma has 7. Pre-Saban Alabama had 7, they were damn near identically successful in that time frame for 95% of the US population, and they had no pro sports to compete with.

lets be real, ive never seen more texans gear in my life till this year; texas used to bandwagon cowboys

The state of Texas will be Cowboys fans for a long long long time. You might have seen more than you're used to, but it will take 30 years for the Texans to even come close to touching what America's Team has built.

There aren't many Razorback badwagon fans in Arkansas. There are plenty of OU, Texas and in recent years, Arkansas State badwagoners. ASU bandwagon era are mainly just up around JBizzle though.

There are all kinds of Bama fans now in the metro Atlanta area. These were the same people that were "ALL IN" a couple of years ago

I'm not calling you a liar, but in my 31 years of existence I have literally met no one who slides back in forth in allegiance between those two schools. And while I know they exist, I don't personally know any Bama fans that became a fan due to this recent run. Now that said, I don't really have a tap on the pulse of the trailer park community, but my experience in that state is you are born into it and that is that.

One side note, the Aubs often are forced to take contradictory stances on this issue in their Bama hating. On one side of their mouth they state how Alabama fans consist of bandwagoners who have no ties to the school and jumped on the ship on a whim due to the program’s success. On the other side they say Alabama fans have misplaced priorities, have nothing but Alabama football to live for, and place their self worth in a stupid game. Well, those are kind of opposite things really and I don’t think you can really have it both ways. Either Bama fans have misplaced priorities, or they are bandwagoners. Not both.

When Saban got to Bama a ton of trashy bandwagoners started buying up all the Bama gear in Walmarks.

I know one guy specifically I used to work with used to have an LSU flag hanging in his office. When Saban got to bama, he threw it away and now has a Bama flag.

These types of fans are garbage.

Building on what I just said, this is a prime example of something I have literally never encountered or heard of in real life. That type of fan can frick off.

If you have to ask this question, and if you think the Texans are on par with the Cowboys from a pedigree standpoint, you really don't know your professional football

Croom was an idiot for keeping that clown OC around.

Ellis Johnson saved Croom's job for as long as he could.

I don't remember saying anything about the Texans... Do the Cowboys have a lot of fans nationwide ? Sure ... Do they have a lot of sidewalk fans? Yeah Does that change the fact that their organization has been a perennial loser over the last 2 decades ? No

yeah it's pretty simple. If you're from arkansas, you're a fan. Arkansas is probably the only state in the SEC like that.
