Not even in a Homer UT fan's mind would a 13 loss team be one of the first 4 teams chosen.

Holy shite dude. Great catch. Seriously. Good one.

I think he sucks and UK could do much better. As a matter of fact, I hear Phil Jackson is pretty desperate for a job

UK should fire Calipari immediately. He sucks so much he's unlikely to land another big time D-I job. He'll probably have to go crawling to some crappy school like Auburn who sucks at everything right now

They were probably happier about the bonus checks in their lockers after the game.

I think he told everyone all they needed to know about his team during the all access thing ESPN did on them. I don't remember exactly what he said but it was something along the lines of "it all depends on if this team buys in to what we need to do". This team obviously hasn't bought in and it shows.

The state of UK football has nothing to do with coaching ability....but it does have a lot to do with recruiting philosophy. The "one and done" mentality is great when you recruit like UK does and get three of the top seven or nine of the recruits in the country...then its chemistry time and a lot of these kids come through the gym door with tudes and entitlement issues.

Calipari has to get them to play as a "team" and a lot of them never had to grasp that concept fully in high school where they were bad slamma jammas.

Last years team gelled into a rather cohesive team with some second year guys and were heads and shoulders above everyone else. This years team....not so much. When you dont have upperclassmen starting or putting a lot of minutes on the court...its not always a good thing.

If Calipari can hold the team together for next year it will be a force hard to deal with. NBA minor league vs SEC. UK will get the best recruits and has the $$ invested in basketball that no other SEC team has. UF has had success because of $$ and Billy D. We get a few MacDonalds AAs....but mostly we get Krystals & Wendys.
