I would say not very since I don't even know what former players are still playing or who they play for. But, I don't watch much NFL anyway.

I like to follow LSU players in the NFL. Obviously I'm a Saints guy as well. I will enjoy following the Cardinals because of how many LSU players they have, especially the best college player of the last 20 years, Tyrann Mathieu. That said, if they end up on the Falcons they are dead to me.

The better question is how do you perceive rival players in the NFL? What if they're stars for your favorite team?

I don't have a favorite NFL team, so I can't answer that question. I do seem to continue to dislike players in the NFL if I disliked them in college.

My self esteem is tied directly to how well these guys perform after draft day.

I generally only care if the player was on campus for 4 years. I will make some exceptions for guys who were consensus #1 draft picks like Von Miller and Mike Evans.

Normally I don't, but I will watch the cowboys just to hope for a situation that Romo gets hurt and Dak comes in with the game on the line and works some magic.

I'm pulling for Dak. It's hard not to pull for him.

Then again, I pulled for Trent Richardson...so I'm not sure I'm doing him any favors...

Yes, I became a Green Bay Packer fan because of a former Alabama player with them. The player's name was Don Hutson.

No Falcon, no care really. Hell, I'd pull for Julio to torch any former AU DB...

DNGAF

that's not true, I kind of like seeing them do well; but don't follow them closely

He didn't answer, but I will bc I share his opinion of Jarvis.

Hustles every play. Not that fast, not that big, but fearless and suction cups for hands. Not flashy, just works his arse off and does his job.

His play on special teams when he was a freshman at lsu won me over. Incredible st player.

Not at all.
Great if they perform, but if not...who cares?

I pull for all former Gamecocks in the pros.
Like others have said before me, I tend to gain an appreciation for other SEC players and home state players as well.

Hated Cam and while in college because he broke it off in our arse. Respect the pro he has become. Pull for AJ Green, Julio, PP, Honey badger, Lacey etc.. Wanted Dmac to tear the dam NFL up, shite Arky was loaded in RB's that class.

Just seems easier to root for those SEC guys since we watched them come through college.

I mean I don't follow everyone who ever played at LSU but it's kind of hard not to be happy about having some of the best in the league.

Lacy
Peterson
Cam
Julio
Mathieu
Manning
Beckham
Etc.

it's not unreasonable to follow guys like that after their college careers and show school pride.

It is stupid to hold it against a school when there's a bust. We all have them and if you haven't had them you're not putting enough guys in the league.

On a scale of normal to LSU?

Normal.

I hope they do well, except when they play my Saints. But I don't start pulling for their teams or something stupid like that.

example: I am a Saints fan. When the Saints play Carolina, I want Cam to lose that game.
