hope they get that grass down on the field sooner rather than later.

they've got plenty of time. iirc, y'all are growing the sod off-site. it doesn't take that long before it settles, and y'all still have 6 weeks till your first home game

here was LSU's on June 6th

Oh I know but the longer it's in one place the better rooted it will be.

I'm no agriculturalist, but I have stayed at many Marriott hotels.

View from Club at the top of Rudder.

The plaza outside the stadium should be nice. This view also highlights how ugly our '99 (?)upgrades look comepared to now.

Finished similar view

I've always hated the way The Zone turned out. Its nice on the inside but the outer area is ugly as all get out and looks like they went with the cheapest option. Also, The Zone is a stupid arse name.

It "looks" like there is a lot of work to be done for Kyle to be ready on time.

LSU included this photo in the latest construction photo gallery. This will be the site of the new LSU Gymnastics training facility. Here's a rendering of the completed facility. Should be nice and the gymnastics program deserves it.

It's the first stand alone gymnastics practice facility in the country. We also have the #1 class for 2015 coming in.

It's nice to see LSU finally start to give its solid mid-major programs the resources our competition has.

eta: I am interested to see what kind of outdoor track A&M is going to build for Henry. Maybe their reluctance will piss him off so he'll come back home to the stately oaks

I didnt know either of these stats. I'm not huge into gymnastics but their facilities are pretty poor so its nice they are getting new digs.

Yeah, every time I see new pictures without it, it feels like something important is missing. That whole east side, though, was quite an eyesore.

I have a family member really close to the program, and he told me about their class for next year. apparently two of the girls are very strong candidates to make the olympic team for 2016. Jay Clark is well considered the best recruiter in the sport, and ESPN actually rated him in a top 10 recruiter in all of collegiate athletics.

As far as the stand alone comment, Joe Alleva said it at the construction ceremony. that's great pr for LSU

I was just sort of oblivious. From the ground, G. Rollie sort of had an old school charm, and it just blended in to the east side of Kyle. I peed in there many times on the way to the front gate. You never had any real reason to walk along the East side though as there were no entry points, so you never really knew you were missing a facade to the most important stadium in all of college football.

Not sure who took this but it was posted on a Mizzou forum.

Nice shot of Faurot with all of the new lights on from the south endzone.
