When: Birth

How: soon as they'd cut my umbilical cord, my deddy ran me from DCH down to the practice field where CPBB atop the tower christened my little head with the ashes of his chesterfield.

Grew up an Ole Miss fan in the late 70's and throughout middle and high school in the 80's. I mean I was a HUGE Ole Miss fan. Went to games, had like 25 OM shirts, my room had Ole Miss posters and pennants, etc. My brother went to State, and I actually liked State's campus and people better, so I went to State but was going to try and remain an OM fan. That didn't last very long, and I've been a State fan, as big a die-hard as I was for OM as a youngster and teen, ever since.

I was a Bama lean in the Harry Gilmer years, but I didn't sign the LOI until 01/01/1953. After reading and hearing the entire month of December how the 'Beast of the East' Syracuse was going to teach those little boys from Alabama how to play football in the Orange Bowl. Bama won 61-6!

Received two degrees from Vandy before attending Harvard. Grew up a Florida fan but switched to Ohio State briefly before becoming a USC fan. After growing tired of USC, I switched back to Florida for nostalgia purposes under Urban Meyer. Saban came along and I traded in my jorts for a wife beater. Who I support next year all depends on who wins it all this year.

I listened to the LSU/USC game in 1979 while in high school and that was it for me. I grew up a Tulane fan in NOLA because my dad went to Tulane, but never really felt any emotion watching Tulane play. Listening to that game in '79 I could feel the emotion thru the radio it seemed and yeah, my dad was upset at the "traitor in the family who likes that school upriver"! He could never bring himself to actually say "LsU"!!
God I miss him.

Semi born into it. I was born in Tuscaloosa and was primarily a Tide fan growing up (military family so we lived all over the country). But the family farm was in Arkansas so I followed the Hogs too.

I wound up going to school at Arkansas and fell in love with Fayetteville. Living there sort of balances the existential dread that is Arkansas football.

I know the feeling. My dad was an aubie. Took me to some of their games in 1957* attempting to get me to switch. Told him thanks but no thanks, that Bama was getting a new coach and was going to be good again.

True Sidewalk fan but pay money to both Ole Miss & State. Got my undergrad at El Cid, was military officer and stationed in The Sip. Been in State 12 of the last 16 years. Was not partial to either school and used to attend games at both (however I admit I never liked the Cowbells). The #OurState, Mullen's holier than though attitude and the having several "run-ins" with the little brother syndrome have pushed me firmly in the Ole Miss camp. Even my son and his buddies that attend State are still Ole Miss fans due to same reason.

* my son has had several encounters with Mullen via work in Starkville and says how he acts in press conferences is just how he acts in regular life but at least his wife is nice.

Birth. My granddad and dad were class 1956 and 1980 respectively. I graduated in 2007. My grandparents were 50-year season ticket holders until recently when they couldn't travel as much. My parents had season tickets from 1980-2009 when my sister finished at Carolina, and my dad decided he would rather play golf every Saturday morning than tailgate.
