Bunch of dumbasses should've apologized to Nutt and all of this could have been avoided.

Yep...all Nutt wanted was a public apology and instead Ole Miss stuck their heads up their asses and all hell broke loose.

Nutt may have had a low chance of ever being a head coach again before all of this. But because of this he will absolutely never be a D1 head coach ever again, and will probably never coach again in any capacity and at any college level. He's cut off his nose to spite his face.

Dude, he knows that.
Hell, he has put in his name for every available position in the country and he is still unemployed.

This is his ego talking. He isn't holding out hope for another job.

He is out to frick Ole Miss over at this point and it's obvious. He is going to wreck that place.

This makes no sense. He had almost no chance of being a head coach again BEFORE he filed the suit. Part of it is the way his tenure ended at Ole Miss. And when that school starts shifting all of the NCAA allegations toward you, it shreds the rest of your chances.

Nutt filed the suit because he knows either he wins it and gets a large payout or he forces Ole Miss to settle and get a large payout. Either way, the legal stuff is his last chance to get a big payout. He knows his career is done, but he knew it was done before he filed the suit.

But he was talking slander defamation from the NCAA. Which was 2014..?

I mean I'm glad they tried to blackmail us and it allowed us to fire freeze with cause though
Saved some money and don't have to go new coach in coaching search to balance the difference

With the settlement he receives from OM for slandering his good name, he won't need to ever coach again.

OM ruins lives.

When he gets another $5mm from you goofs, why would he ever want to coach again? Hell, he could fund an athletic building at Ole Miss with his name on it with all the money y'all gave him.

You pretty much said what the poster you responded to did. Ha.

In a nutt shell...he finally accepted the fact he would never coach again, so he played the best card he had to set himself up for retirement.

Nutt knew this all along. He obtained one of the best lawyers in the state of Arkansas, and now he's gonna cash in.

Ole Miss is about to fork over an 'undisclosed' amount of cash to prevent Nutt from ever bringing this 'Defamation of Character' lawsuit to court.

7 to 10 million is my guess, maybe more. Nutt won't need to coach after this is over with.

No it didn't. I mean, publicly? Yes. But in reality? Hugh is still getting paid and you know it.

Two options happened here.
Either the hookers were not for him but he's taking the fall to keep the school out of further NCAA trouble and getting paid big time.
Or.
The hookers were his in which case the school had no choice but to fire him/let him resign and he's still going to get paid behind the scenes to keep his mouth shut about other stuff he knows.

All Nutt wanted was an apology. Freeze & Ole Miss lied about Nutt to protect a recruiting class.

Nutt now works in the media covering college football. He didn't want his reputation tarnished, or his credibility or job threatened.

Poor Ole Miss fans still don't know the facts. Nutt doesn't have a vendetta against Ole Miss. Again, all he wanted was an apology.

This was all a ploy by Arkansas. Nutt is actually a really good coach and coordinator. It was clear at the end of his tenure that Arkansas had reached it's peak. Being a lifetime Razorback, Nutt offered to fall on the sword. A plan was hatched to ensure that Arkansas would never fall out of the big 5 in the west. With Kentucky and Vandy both in the east, Ole Miss was picked for Nutt to infiltrate and destroy. Their natural unlikeability, delusional fanbase, and that weird Hotty Toddy shite made it an easy choice.

Playing a brilliant long game that helped Nutt further fatten his nest egg, we now see the culmination of the Right Reverend's diabolical scheme to help ensure that his beloved Razorbacks remain amongst the 5 best teams in the West. Checkmate mf'ers.

For the love of God, someone with way more talent than me make a gif from the opening scene of GoT. Frey pulls hia face ofd, reveals Nutt, and you see Freeze, Bjork, and errbody else start dropping.
