I would take Houston in a heart beat. The guy has only had a hand full of losing seasons and he has won the west 3 times. He would be a huge upgrade from what we've had in the past.
What do y'all not get?? It's a death wish.

He would make them a top 25 team immediately.

Ok heres the truth about nutt.
If hed let his ego get out of the way and hire a qb coach and let the guy recruit and develope qbs hed probably be a good coach.
But he fancies himself a qb expert and thus will never do that. So he will never consistently win in a league where qb play is vital.

If I had to choose between the two washed up coaches I would go with
1. Phatt Phill
2. The Nutt.
Just because I know Phillip Fulmer would pull out all the stops when it comes to finding the best people and recruiting the best kids. He helped turn UT into a power house and he's got a couple of good years left in the tank. I wonder if chavis would follow him to UK if he decided to become the head coach?

Nutt knows all about QBs because he was one of the top QB prospects in the nation his senior year in highschool, Bear wanted him bad.

UT Fans would be so pissed if Fulmer decided to become the H.C. at Kentucky. I think the meltdown would be legendary.

I think Kentucky should steal Cutcliffe away from Duke.
Being 6-3 at Duke is pretty impressive.

I don't want Cutcliffe.

It wouldn't be a bad job for Nutt. But I think he should just worry about coaching any more.
I don't know if he could win at Kentucky with all funds pretty much going towards basketball. Hard to compete with that.

Remember that Kentucky just wants to go to a bowl every year, doing that is "winning big" for them.

Nutt eouldnt take them to a bowl every year. That crazy fricker would take them to 2 cotton bowls in five years lose them both, and play under. 500 the other three years.
In that time frame he would beat either florida or georgia and lise to vandy in the same season.
Hed also beat saban at least once and own les miles.
It would be a riot to have him back in the sec

His record is propped up by an anomaly in Arkansas talent while he was there as well as Orgeron's ridiculously talented teams.

Oh really? Houston nutt averaged 7 recruits a year from arkansas while here. Those 7 recruits averaged 2.8 stars each.
No he didnt have great instate high school talent while here.
Im telling you if he could develop a qb he wouldnt be the joke that he is.

His best seasons at Arkansas.
1998- Very talented team thanks to Danny Ford. Pretty good coordinators in Ken Burns and Joe Ferguson.
2002- Matt Jones
2006- McFadden
Without instate recruits in Jones and McFadden he'd have been gone much sooner.
