Hilarious coming from a guy calling for Gus' job earlier this year.
Bielema would be winning the West if he had Auburn's roster, Gus is badly underperforming.

No troll here. I seriously think you guys made a huge mistake. Privately, I'm sure a good lot of Arkansas fans, perhaps a majority, think the same.

Well nutt you got caught sexting your side piece on the side line while coaching in the cap one bowl (ironically losing go Bert in the process) so there's that

Look at the fools talking how bad Nutt was.
Fatass won't ever get to his win total, so that makes Bert much worse. He is coaching for his seat temp next year. Most of the season talk radio was questioning his hire and wasn't pleased. That's the first step to the seat warming

The sad thing about Houston Nutt, other then his ongoing rage boner against the U of A, is that when he actually bothered to try he was a pretty good coach.
Look at his first year at Arkansas or his first two years at Ole Miss. Look at some of the big games he actually tried to win, like against Texas, and he was a completely different coach then 90% of his games.
He was scared of losing more then he loved winning and he coached like it. Nutt was the sort of coach that would sit on a ten point lead and try to play it safe... with an entire half still to play. He called a ton of pass plays with max protect packages... only one or two WRs on just one side of the field.
Most coaches handed a once in a generation talent in Matt Jones would have cheerfully installed a spread option attack and gone for broke. Nutt would run it a few times a game whether it was working or not and that would be it. If he spent as much time trying to win games as he did trying to cover his own arse he'd probably still be the Arkansas coach.

If Bielema isn't on the hot seat, the Arkansas AD is an idiot.

He's a shyster, and the comment was just a petty jab at Arkansas.
Nutt was tooting his own horn too, talking about taking Hogs to Atlanta twice. As has been duly noted many times ITT, he failed to maintain or build on that. His remarks are those of a douchebag.

It's interesting to me the hate that some Arkansas fans have for Nutt and the things they like to point at to justify their hate vs ignoring what he actually did for the University. Why didn't he get fired after 2 losing seasons? Two reasons:
1. He had 6 winning seasons before that (the weaker reason)
2. He was putting fans in the stands (the reality).
For some reason Arkansas fans forget what the state of Arkansas football was when Nutt took over in 1998.. I remember because I was in school during that time. Before Nutt the stands were maybe 25% full, the program was dead. Danny Ford was terrible, we had players committing suicide with Nolan Richardson taking pop shots at the football coaches for a number of different reasons. It was embarrassing entering the stadium to watch Razorback football game (and only getting 1 home SEC game a year thanks to the dump in Little Rock).
When Nutt came in he changed the dynamic immediately and for the first few years he brought football back and brought fans back to the game. Some of the greatest games Arkansas has played was under Nutt and nobody can take that from him.
So keep him after 2 losing seasons? Sure, especially with the players we had coming back (McFadden, Felix, Hillis) and everybody's star retard QB Mitch Mustain coming in along with his high school coach Guss.. there was a lot of excitement after those 2 losing seasons and a sense that big things were going to happen.
Now how it all ended really sucked and you would be stupid to put all the blame on Nutt, there were dynamics at play that were far beyond what anybody could have imagined at the time.
Regardless, giving him more time after 2 losing seasons in that situation makes a lot of sense.. not sure why that is so hard for some to understand.

Nutt is a guy the claims to love the university yet transferred to OK lite when he wasn't good enough to start here. He is still butthurt over the way he left and not being in the U of A HOF. He does have (in his mind) and axe to grind with the school and fans.
Nutt transferred because Frank Broyles retired and Arkansas hired Lou Holtz who ran an option offense which was popular at the time. Nutt was a drop back QB and didn't fit that style of offense, why would he stay in a situation where he wouldn't get to play? Oh ya, we aren't looking for logical explanations here, we are just bashing him into the ground for fun right?

And there it is. You did a good job of hiding it at first but let your guard down when it came to talking about Malzahn.

Question: Is Nutt right or wrong?
He is wrong. Did you see the contract Jeff Long have to Bert? UPig will spend a shitload of wal-mart money to fire Bert.
I think Jay Jacobs is bad, but he is a genius compared to Jeff Long.

it amazes me that this is still even discussed.
Nutt was and is an egomaniac with little man syndrome.
Systemic of CHN is the following.
1. Everything was about him, unless he lost and then he couldn't throw the players under the bus fast enough.
2. He used the MSM (Murray State Mafia) to aid in his demise, yet watch his back like no other. He was the original conspiracy theorist coach in college football.
3. He claimed high morals while cheating on his wife and family.
4. He used adults and a power structure against kids, players, and fans on a continual basis.
5. He caused the much of the racially charged atmosphere on campus, or at least did nothing to dampen it. See HDN/CFB vs. Nolan.
6. his recruiting was crap, he did well with others recruits, but was unable to do much with his own.
For those comparing Bobby Petrino to HDN, consider this. Would you rather have a devil that you know and deal with it from the beginning, or a snake in the grass that is a liar, cheater, back stabbing, hypocritical egomaniacal perv...
IE: HDN.
Broyles kept him around way too long period. He fractured the program, fan base and the football team. He sabotaged Petrino when he left by taking the files of the recruits, destroying office memos, almost anything you can imagine. He was paid Millions to leave to take Ole Miss to not 1 but 2 cotton bowls.
