Things are looking bad for Chief in this lawsuit. His lawyer is going for the Hail Mary on some playschool altered contract with white-out angle. If you think the courthouse in downtown Baton Rouge is going to go for it, you're crazy.

Good thing you Aggies have so much money because you're going to have to cut LSU a check when all is said and done.

I hope not, y'all altered the contract after he signed which is so idiotic you shouldn't receive anything.

Also

quote:

Alleva’s deposition was testy at times. It was held July 20, a week after Craft conducted Ewing’s deposition. Alleva admits to Craft that he spoke to Ewing about Ewing’s deposition. Asked specifically what they spoke about, Alleva said “you,” referring to Craft.

Alleva is such a fricking clown unreal that a school would allow him and the dude who changed a contract without the party knowing to keep their jobs

Yikes, what a shite show. I don't know why the LSU System office thought it would be okay to alter the contract.

Agreed, but to be fair - Jill Craft is roundly hated in Baton Rouge for taking up cases like this one. By all accounts, she is a count.

I'm sure she is, but it's part of her job. Alleva is in a high position of leadership and it sounds like he had trouble keeping his composure in the deposition with her. Just not a good look.

Interesting stuff in that article:

quote:

LSU’s plan to fire the coach was nixed, in part, because of budgetary concerns from the school’s president, F. King Alexander.

quote:

Chavis did not sign the altered contract, the one approved by the school's board of supervisors. Ewing and Nall said Chavis never received a copy of the changed contract.

quote:

Alleva agreed to remove the "Les Miles clause" from Chavis’ proposed new deal

quote:

Miles offered Chavis a three-year deal worth $1.8 million per year after Miles’ agent, George Bass, convinced Alleva to remove the clause.

1. LSU offered Chavis more money than he's getting at A&M, without the Les Miles clause, and he still left for A&M.

2. The reason LSU didn't fire Miles was because they didn't have the money.

But LSU is poor.

Maybe, but I think the decision was really made because the optics of the athletic dept paying a huge buyout while the academic side of the school is struggling financially was the bigger motivator.

My hope is that Alleva comes out the scapegoat in all of t his and loses his job.

If Chavis does win the suit, it will be b/c of a legal technicality like altering shite in the contract that is meaningless. But we all know Chavis is a fricking shady mofo in that he was recruiting while under LSU contract.

That's not a technicality. That's a ridiculous thing to do and think you can get away with. Have you ever worked with contracts? You change one thing and both parties re-sign.

Glad that fatass would rather witness the shitshow in College Shitstain than live off Corey Raymond & Frank Wilson's recruits.

We're FAR better off.
